The intensity from Tyson is great. He hasn't lost it.

Floyd isn't as great as he would like the boxing world to think he is. If he wants to go on about greatness, this bout being much sooner would have helped.

His distaste comes from Mayweather being dissing Ali. Tyson has always, always, held Ali up as the pinnacle in boxing.

Tyson was given a great boxing education by D'Amato which included learning about the history of the sport and all the greats. He knows the level of crap that Floyd is spouting.

Or - if he wants to go on about greatness, or being great, it'd sound better coming from others!

He is a student of the sport, his opinions are always interesting. Also Pacquiao in his prime was basically a mini Tyson in terms of explosiveness and entertainment, Tyson always favours the more attacking boxers.

Just found out that one of the guys I will be watching the fight with will be bringing his girlfriend along.

Well that ruins the night. I had planned an epic 6pm-2am pub crawl before settling in the bar where we will watch the fight. Now it will have to be a civilised affair.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Sky box office to watch this fight? Online maybe? Not talking about illegal streams though, and I definitely, absolutely, most certainly won't resort to one of them if I can't find a better paid alternative.

Correct.

Sky have only provided SD for Virgin customers.

Pathetic really.
Well that fecking sucks, I was planning on going to my folks whilst they're away and ordering it on their Virgin Media bill.

When's the kickoff then? Middle of the night I suppose?

Earliest of 3:45, probably be later than that though. Latest is about 5am I think.

So hyped for this. Just wish it was 2011.

From 1 min onwards is when it gets interesting.

Look in Tyson's eyes at the end is Tyson of old, there's a video of him on YOuTube with Ali and the interviewer asks who would win a fight of the 2 and Tyson is adamant it would be Ali.

I'm really pissed off about Virgin only getting a standard definition feed.

feck you Sky.

Controversial Mayweather win I reckon. PacMan to take the early rounds, Mayweather to slow it down with some gamesmanship before settling into it and taking the later rounds before winning it on a controversial scoring and obviously a rematch will be denied and Mayweather will spend the next few years bleating on about how he fought him like everyone wanted and beat him and that's that.

Anyone know if the weigh-in tonight will be shown live on Sky News?

IIRC the Hatton-Mayweather one was. Sky will of course be looking to maximise PPV sales.

The 'Inside Mayweather Pacquiao' episodes were a very good watch.

Wonder if there will be a bit more trash talk tonight in the weigh-in or if they'll continue to remain respectful and calm.

I'm sure something will be planned for the weigh-in. If an angry exchange or a minor scuffle can tempt as few as an extra 10,000 people to pay for the PPV in the US, that's another $1 million dollars to the pot.

Yea, that was the Hatton fight; you can see the 'undefeated' poster behind him. He's just a WUM, pretty sure he's not a United fan.

Ahh, that would explain Hatton being there too. It's bad enough having King Jon-un as a United fan, at least Piers Morgan supports Arsenal, though.

 ffs I didn't even notice Hatton sat there.

Yea, Piers is much worse than Jon-Un.

There are no losers in this fight. Everyone is winning.

Financially perhaps, but Mayweather has more to lose in terms of his perfect record. If he does lose, he will be widely perceived as having delayed the fight for fear of blemishing his record, and not the litany of excuses he provided (steroid testing etc). On top of that, Pacman is just a generally more likeable personality.

Pac is also a much, much more exciting boxer to watch. Nobody will give a shit about Mayweather's defensive and tactical genius if he loses his '0'.
