Tell me he he had a good game without telling me he had a good game...

"No one rushed to his player performance topic after a loss against West Ham where is conceded a penalty in injury time losing us the game"

He's been generally good. I was 50/50 on him but he's been doing relatively well IMO.
Pen today was a shambolic decision.

Best example how media and fans are fickle. He is our best defender this year. By far.
But only one bad game (Porto) was enough to call him as "no better than Maguire".

He has overall been our best defender no doubt and a clear upgrade on Maguire. Anyone prefering Maguire over De Ligt is clearly biased.

Strong first half, decent second half. Looks a good signing so far.

Made some very important blocks today. It'll be interesting to see how he adapts to Amorim's system.

Really good today, he's a solid centre back and would be a mainstay in our team.

His tendency to overcommit and try to stop everything will result in few mistakes but I like him. Leaves everything on the pitch and we need more of that. Someone composed next to him is a must so let's hope Yoro can be that player.

Good game overall.

Quietly good game from him. No mistakes. Kept it simple.

Made one small error but otherwise he was good. I dont want him to make one (small) error during an otherwise good game, we already have Maguire who does that.

He’s good. One of the best in the league even. I think him and Yoro could be a great partnership.

The defence as a whole has been ok to decent this season.

No team is perfect, but De Ligt is a very solid CB. Who oddly has already been written off by all the sport panels as a bad signing.

If Amorim does go three at the back. I think De Ligt, Yoro and Martinez are a great combination to have. They compliment each other very well.

Think he and Mazraoui both are, and Yoro is likely to be. Won't suit the narrative in the media that every player we've signed in the last 10 years is shit so might be a while before any of them start getting any credit though

Let's do our bit to make sure they get their due on here!

Man Utd 3:0 Leicester New
Barely notice him, which I mean in a good way.

Think his influence is underestimated. Since he's settled, we've been very organised and secure in defence. His decision making on when to step up and drop off is top class.

Really nice to see.

Aerial juggernaut and getting more confident with the ball and the wide spaces. Understated leader at the back along with Martinez.

If he wasn't so lightweight and could defend, he'd be class.

Souness and Scholes covering themselves in shite with their viewpoint on De Ligt this year.

He's really good, he always has been a good defender. The fact that he was signed for such a reasonable fee and only just turned 25 is the best part of the signing.

Done really well recently, like any CB playing in front of a sane midfield set up will greatly help.

Just a really good defender that quietly goes about his business in a similar sort of way to how Varane did. Think him and Mazraoui were great business.

He's been great since Ten Hag left. I wish he was a bit quicker but I love his composure and he's a beast in the air.
