Watch him extend his contract now
Although contracts are worth these days. This is perfect time to move, he's still considered to be one of the top defenders in the world even after a poor season(Other season like this one would see he's stock drop hugely) Dortmund aren't going to be challenging next year(They aren't close to Bayren or Wolfsburg)and I there's a only a very slim chance of getting CL(I'm not too sure but they get CL football through winning the German Cup).Watch him extend his contract now

Only Europa LeagueEuropa, surely?
The Sneijder Thread is the mother of all transfer threads that came to naught.Welcome to this years Vidal thread
Europa, surely?
Ah ok thanks.Only Europa League
Is that true? I thought others have said in this thread that he's been poor for longer than just a season.Although contracts are worth these days. Oh no, not again, I can't do it again. Every day a new rumor and new, fruitless hope installed into my tired heart. Not again.Welcome to this years Vidal thread
Not too sure really but this season everyone's pretty agree he's being poor. Which wasn't something that was said last season, well not by the majority anyway. Is that true? I thought others have said in this thread that he's been poor for longer than just a season.

This won't end well

I think Hummels has already verbally agreed to join us, as has Depay.
If you look at Hummel's statements from December to now the trend is clear, plus he isnt one to talk crap just to get an improved contact. The list of clubs that want him is extensive and he doesn't need to negotiate that way.
PS: He has stated that the only club he will move abroad for is MUFC.
Which turned out to be false.
This has to be happening.
This has to be happening.
It's a bit worrying that he seems to be making a mistake every other week. We could do with two CBs anyway...Hummels + Dragovic?
Smalling is way better than Rojo in my opinion. Still not convinced about Rojo. Has a slight crazy streak in him.Hummels and Rojo is good enough for me. With Smalling and Jones for back up.
This has to be happening.
What about the: "He told me he's thinking about it."A newbie just PMed this:
"First of all, yes he did say that he is good enough for United, so that's probably a good thing.
But he only said it because Owen Hargreaves was in the studio (Sky Germany) saying that he wasn't good enough because of his defensive weaknesses. Then they cut to Klopp who heard Hargreaves' comments and he said that he thinks Hummels would be good enough for us.
So I think it was really a case of a coach defending his player."
Not sure it makes sense to spend big on him if he hasn't had his day for awhile.Current situation reminds me a bit of Kompany. A world class player on his day, but it hasn't been his 'day' in a while.

Hummels is just as injury prone as Smalling.I think he would be if he could stay fit for a stretch. I'd have him as first choice if his fitness was assured, but it's the same old story with him. He's dependable when he plays though, so more suited to a back up role imo. There's no reason he can't get over his injuries later in his career and be huge for us.
This has to be happening.
Smalling's comfortably a better out-and-out defender.
