I think it's his year..."We have had the situation in Dortmund recently that we have lost one of our top performers every year," Watzke told German daily newspaper Bild.

And i think Hummels intelligence and positioning is what will set him apart. Personally i can see him doing well under a manager like LvG
If he scores as many as Koeman, I'll be happy. It has to be said that Koeman wasn't a traditional CHFor some aspects he is similar to Frank De Boer and Koeman.
Yeah, that's the part that gives me confidence.I think it's his year...
I'd just be happy seeing more of the traditional CB goal, like at 1:00 where he brushes Varane out the way and 1:30:If he scores as many as Koeman, I'll be happy. It has to be said that Koeman wasn't a traditional CH
Why? Varane would be doing well to reach Hummels level.if we get Hummels and Chelsea buy Varane I'll be pretty pissed.

Varane hasn't had the best of season when hes been called upon for Madrid. They've looked very shaky when Pepe / Ramos have been out.
His lack of pace is the only worrying thing about him, he needs a partner to be able to cover the space behind him.
With Germany he has Boateng
Maybe so but there's been a bit of hyperbole about him while sitting on Madrids subs bench. He's been a bit exposed when starting this seasonVarane has pace and I'm with Mourinho on this one...he's nailed on to be the best CB in the world. Hummels was part of a relegation bound club for the first half of their campaign.......

Varane won't be sold. Why would he?
And with United he would have Smalling.
Smalling wouldn't be able to cover for Hummels with our current rightback. Our right CB is already covering for our lack of a real right fullback when we're playing. He can't cover for 2 players. A top right back and Hummels would make our back 4.And with United he would have Smalling.

Every player has his weaknesses and strengths, that's why its called a partnership. A good back 4 complements each others strengths and weaknesses. You don't just suddenly fit in Nesta or Maldini and your back 4 is world classHow about buying w defender we don't need to cover for.

Hummels in a tv-interview after the match against Bayern: "Yes, I am thinking about leaving Dortmund." In times of meaningless diplomacy... clear words. However, he also said he has no tendency where to go.
Yeah he's talk far too much this season. He'd drive me nuts if he played for my club. Captain of the team, shit season, at fault for the goal and then gives an interview after the loss that he thinks about leaving. What a leader he is.

I called both repeatedly cnuts for doing that. I'm pretty sure that gives me the right to call Hummels a cnut without being a hypocrit. Neither of them was captain of their team and performed below par for such a long time though. As opposed to two guys who sign pre-deals during the season to join the only club who challenge for the title.. Mats is well bad.

Yup, he's been constantly asked about this, after a while I suppose you get bored muttering diplomatic bullshit. As opposed to two guys who sign pre-deals during the season to join the only club who challenge for the title.. Mats is well bad.
I don't care about loyality actually. I don't criticise him for leaving at all, that's his right and maybe even what he needs because he clearly lacks determination at the moment and isn't fully focused. He's much better than what he showed in the past 18 months.I wasn't aware of that but the notion still stands. Mats is no worse than either Mario or Robert, there is very little loyalty in football these days and in fact maybe it's time us as fans should stop expecting such a thing from players who 99.9% see this as a job rather than a love thing.
Yeah me too. When Vidic announced that in the middle of the season I lost a lot of respect for him. That'd feck me off if it was our player. In fact it did when Vidic announced he was buggering off.
