Mathys Tel

At least have the basic decency to look up your claims before you're ridiculing yourself.

1. Musiala doesn't play winger. Not a single minute on the left wing all season, and low numbers in the seasons prior when he had to help out on a wing.

2. Coman, as mentioned, is injured for large stretches of time or is coming back from said injuries, leaving plenty of potential appearance time for Tel. Mueller doesn't even play on that wing, he's no competition for Tel's place on the left wing, and he's also been visibly declining in recent years to the point where he himself is only a sub large amounts of the time, in this and the last season especially. That he is still the preferred substitute option as CF this season ahead of Tel speaks volumes about Bayern's evaluation of the latter in that role. Sané and Gnabry have been a rollercoaster, performance-wise, in recent seasons, and are far from reliably performers. These declines in their estimated market values isn't them aging, at only 29 and 28 respectively, that's them not doing all that well anymore, and certainly not consistently. According to consistent rumours for the past few months Bayern will let Sané's contract run out this summer, despite him being ready to accept lower wages by quite some margin - doesn't quite spell "world class", does it? No matter what empty claims you make based on maybe five games that you've watched them over the years. I have the feeling you can't possible have watched more than a couple of Bayern games in the last two years, because your mental image of the players sure looks like it's 2021 for you.

3. If Tel's not even good enough to even just substitue for Kane in his, according to you, primary position, ahead of an aging player who doesn't do well as a lone CF and another player who is out of position and has never looked good at a false-9, then wtf is even the point you're arguing? If anything you're making my point for me that Bayern is clearly not seeing Tel as striker material. That's not me making any claims about Tel's quality, even if you keep trying to spin it that way for some reason, those are hard numbers showing what the club thinks about his performance.
By the way, Gnabry hasn't played as CF in this or last season at all, so much for him being competition there.

For some reason you are all too interested in feeling ridiculed and ridiculing and "debunking" what you imagine I've said instead of engagine with what I've actual said and argued for:

1. Musiala having played minutes as a winger this season ISN'T the point. The point is over the previous season he played 777 minutes as a winger in the league alone. 8 on the rw 2 on the left. Meaning he is a viable option for Bayern in the role if called upon. Which makes him ahead of an out oppostion Tel in the winger pecking order. You do not need a visit to the transfermkt website to understand that at all.

2. I said Bayern's wide men were all proven world class performers. NEVER that "they are all currently in world class form". Over the last 2 seasons Coman with injury issues has played 17 times in the league (23/24 j 24/25). Sane 25 (after starting the season like a house on fire last term and dropping off). 15 this teem. Gnabry 10 & 13. It shouldn't have to be pointed to you that all 3 do not have to be in apex form to keep ahead of an out of position teen striker in the Bayern wide man pecking order. Yet they also have to contend with each other, an in form Olise who has proven he can operate on both flanks and old man Mueller. Those are by my count 6 options a Kompany could pick on the wing before he thinks of an out postion Tel for his wings. Yet even they are fighting each other for game time in 2 roles with only Olise winning the battle for those who operate full time wide.

How you are more intent on " feeling ridiculed" and ridiculing back than adressing that actual fact is just strange.

3. I don't believe you for a second when you claim 'you don't understand my argument As to why he has played even less upfront under Kompany this season. It wasnt hard to follow:

1. Kane plays all the time when fit.
2. When he misses Kompany switches to a false 9 formation. That likes Tel competing with Muller, Gnabry or Sane to play the role. Of the 4 he is the one who is able to operate in it the least. Hence unless Kompany actually wants a proper 9, its clearly why even as a 9 Tel has been losing out.

This is why I said earlier you trying to paint him as some sort of stalled talent rather than paying any attention to mitigating circumstances is being unrealistic. If you think that is "ridiculing you'. That's on you....

I just don’t see it with him. He has looked very mediocre when I’ve seen him play and he’s struggling to get on the pitch regularly in Germany. What indicates that he will be an upgrade on our current options? From what I’ve seen, he looks quite mobile and has a decent shot on him but the defenders are quicker and he will have less time in the Prem.

Perhaps a summary?
Sources have said that United see Tel as the perfect market opportunity. Recruitment staff within the club have long kept tabs on the teenager.

United would like to bring Tel on loan, with an option to buy the player in the summer transfer window.
It is also understood that United plan to formalise their interest in the Bayern Munich forward before the transfer deadline, even without the sale of another
attacker.

Reports elsewhere have suggested that United may have an upper hand in negotiations with the player as his main priority is potential game-time and Amorim’s squad is light in forward areas.

If he’s got offers from spurs and Arsenal. Looks like he’s waiting for us

I doubt that, these things don’t happen overnight. Spurs and Arsenal have money to spend, we don’t. We aren’t buying him. If we get Dorgu that’ll be it for this window.

He seem the same profile as Gyökeres watching his last years highlights: magnetic ball retention, quick, forward driving like a homing missile toward goal, no care for who is in his way. Willing to make that last pass if it's beneficial.
Makes sense if we are interested or Amorim is. assuming it all translates to EPL.

We seriously need to add excitement to our attacking play and if this guy gives us that then let’s to for him.

But THIS season Tel got minutes as a winger and Musiala didn't. Last season under a different manager isn't the matter here, especially as last season Tel got enough minutes to be content. Clearly Kompany prefers Tel on the wing over Musiala, but he prefers Musiala in the center of the pitch and Tel on the bench if nothing forces him to play Tel.
Kane plays all the time when fit.
And when not Tuchel played Tel as a striker. Kompany stopped doing that.
This is why I said earlier you trying to paint him as some sort of stalled talent rather than paying any attention to mitigating circumstances is being unrealistic.
Agree on this (and the general idea you have). Tel somehow doesn't seem to fit Kompany's ideas of football very well, but he has shown very solid performances last season (10g+6a in just 1406 minutes in all competitions for Bayern).

This. Excitement is the word and Tel and Amad can provide some. We are short on exciting players.

He has pace and goals. I cant understand why fans wouldnt want him.

None in fourteen appearances this season

So… that not very far from 30…
Well, only about 50% more but who is counting.

On a more serious note: if he wants to go to Tottenham Bayern should obviously take the €60m. That is a lot for potential, because that is what they would be buying.

If the end price is 60m I'm sure there are better prospects out there. Get by until June and soend the money on more of a sure thing for Amorim ball

60m is a big gamble. A loan with an option to buy would be best. See what he can do in a new league.

If its a loan with an option id assume the purchase fee is a bit cheaper than the upfront of buying now. So maybe closer to 50m than 60m.

Haven't seen enough of the player but reads like quite a risk.
