Want.
Either as manager or player.
His dribbling is Wilshire-ish but better. Unfortunately he's not as creative yet
i don't need to see success to see talent, even in his 20-30 minute cameo's, even when inter is getting spanked by the worst teams in italy, under stramaccioni, now under this bum mazzarri who doesn't have a footballing brain at all, he's done things no one can do. this is a player that can beat 4 players easily down the middle, and play a through ball or shoot. this is a player that can dictate the tempo with his incredible intelligence like scholes. this is a player with extraordinary pass weighting, and despite his few assists, he's made several passes demonstrative of great talent. he's not godly as a passer, but it's the combination of his fantastic dribbling ability, his brain, his physical traits (great balance, very good speed at 40 yards), his ability to execute a pass, and his decision making, all taken into account at his tender age (he's been at this unearthly level since 18!), it's pretty obvious that he's going to be one of the greats. He'll be better then iniesta if he maintains a healthy development. I know this as a fact as i studied hours of iniesta at 2004-2006, and i know exactly what iniesta was like from 20-22, let alone 18-20. The reason Kovacic hasn't been playing lately is simple, Mazzarri prefers hardworking, direct, 'unfancy' players with quantifiable production value rather then a dictative player like scholes or kovacic. There is no reason a player like Taddei or kuzmanovic gets ahead of kovacic otherwise; you can see Mazzarri's approach when he's built the team around the two most wasteful, and idiotic players in guarin and alvarez, guarin who would and will ruin any attacking play by taking a shot from anywhere, or simply making a poor, late decision. He hasn't been great this season, you overrate him.
He could be the top midfielder in the world but it isn't as certain as you make it seem, talent wise he is not much more talented than Pogba, Isco, Veratti at all. The point about him being miles ahead of Iniesta at the same age again is wrong, unless you haven't watched him this season? He has been largely inconsistent, he is a talent but you make it seem like he is already excelling himself week in week out which is not true.

it's fair to be dubious, it does seem like an extraordinary claim, but i believe it fully. you can also go watch yourself if you want to find out for yourself what iniesta looked like in that period, dozens of barca's matches in that period are available to watch on youtube alone.I admire your passion but .
This reminds me of that classic thread where the poster claimed he had studied hours of footage to ascertain that left footed penalty takers were more predictable than right footed ones. Fact!
He looks a talent. Interesting to see how he develops.

Kovacic is ready to be one of the top midfielders right at this very moment, he simply needs the oppurtunity from a manager and a team. I'm praying Guardiola gets him, as he would be perfect for the way Pep sees the game, and would instantly become one of the most renowned midfielders in the world. There's a reason that a simply fantastically talented player like coutinho was allowed to get away from inter for such a marginal fee, and it's because another, better, younger talent in kovacic had arrived in the same position. Stupidly, neither of those positions have been utilized since then, and in disgusting displays of incompetence, none of the areas needed to be addressed have been dealt with at inter, and the kovacic/coutinho position has been thrown away, this is partially due to stramaccioni's sacking and mazzarri's appointment.
now i can agree with you that there is no certainty, for all of kovacic's talent. I think it will take nothing less then a monumental tragedy to deny this kid from greatness though, nothing less then some of the most obscene mismanagement and bad breaks in sporting annals. To be fair, Mazzarri's treatment of kovacic is getting closer and closer to those levels. we'll see what happens, but out of my favorite talents in verratti, thiago, isco, i see kovacic above them all. of course they are all different players with different phenomenal traits, verratti is one of the best dribblers in close control that i've seen period, and a better passer then kovacic by quite a bit, the potential of kovacic, and his intelligence, puts me above their likes.
All a person really needs to do is watch his matches last season vs napoli and lazio to understand what he's about. Some of the finest midfield performances I've seen in my life.

In fact they very rarely do at all. Drogba was a non league player at 21, countless other strikers hit the ground running in their teens and fall away before they even reach that age.Another professor in football but that title belongs to Kevin only. Just saying that just because he's better than Iniesta was at the same age doesn't he will become better than him at his peak. Footballers don't necessarily develop in a linear way.

Just look for the games and watch them then you'll understand. He was basically playing as a one man midfield in both games.Surely this is a bit of an exaggeration?
So it's surprising when people are so sure of the heights this or that young player can reach.
Its not surprising, just the typical poster going nuts over a young player. Either its Scholesy or another poor soul has been struck with the same lunacy
£25m - £30m I think. Inter don't really ask for that much when it comes to transfering players out.How much would he go for if Inter are willing to sell this summer?

why would inter sell an 19 year old prodigy that they bought for 15m for 10m? that's simply ridiculously ludicrous. any less then 20-25m would make inter look like a joke of a club. and even that rate would be incredibly kind to whatever club strikes that deal.Around 10 million

Yes... I think it was just as a left footer scored a penaltyIt was either BT sport or sky sports coverage at the weekend during one of the premier league matches and one of the commentators mentioned he'd heard a recent theory that left footers shouldnt take penalties. Chief finally made it to tv.
Because at the moment he's, as someone eliquently puts it, back up of a back up. There's no way they'd expect 25 million for a player that the new manager doesn't rate.why would inter sell an 19 year old prodigy that they bought for 15m for 10m? that's simply ridiculously ludicrous. any less then 20-25m would make inter look like a joke of a club. and even that rate would be incredibly kind to whatever club strikes that deal.

and he said somthing about showing what rubish a stupid theory about left footers not taking penalties was.
was it the chief (kemo) or devilish who came up with that theory - im sure it was one of them
Some of joined only a few years back. How do you even know about the left foot thing? I thought that was ages ago?!
I was just going to add that the video on it was brilliant. Heck that video thread itself was legendary.
