Im sure we will never know. But my point is when the media state transfer fees for our transfers, the whole package is included. It depends what the add ons are, mount is not a better player

Let Mac Allister perform at the level he's done this season for a little more before we declare who he is and isn't better than. Last season no one outside of Brighton fans knew or cared who he was, now he is (or was, before Liverpool signed him) the solution to our midfield problems. It depends what the add ons are, mount is not a better player
Maybe. Most likely mediators and agents who want a slice of the cake.
Mount isn't the solution to our midfield problems either. The main reason for comparison is Mount's attribute seems to be work rate rather than creativity (in deep midfield) and Mac Allister's seems to be the same.Let Mac Allister perform at the level he's done this season for a little more before we declare who he is and isn't better than. Why are they trying to price him out of a move? He only has 1yr left and they’re asking for £70mil, madness
We have a history of overpaying for players. We are easy pickings, so to speak, for both transfer money and player salaries. Why are they trying to price him out of a move? He only has 1yr left and they’re asking for £70mil, madness
No it didn’t. He had a release clause.looks like it literally just happened with macallister
Would much prefer Xavi Simons at half the price.
Even 55m would be a terrible transfer. And if we somehow end up paying 70m on Mount, that's woodward-esque.
100%My favourite window will be the one where we call someone’s bluff. Too often we treat dime a dozen players like they’re superstars and it has a knock on effect on future transfers. Chelsea know we’ll hang around for a while yet due to previous summers.
It hasn’t even been a week since our last game! Why would we move on so quickly? Because you don’t like the player?100%
Everyone and his dog knows we need to move on, yet we keep seeing more and more updates
Debatable. We haven’t seen Mount in the Brighton systemIt depends what the add ons are, mount is not a better player
It's just recency bias. Mount's waned a bit in the latter half of last season, Chelsea's been shite this season, and Mount spent a fair chunk of it injured, so now he's reverted to being average in the collective football memory (in addition to having been pretty harshly judged despite being very good under both Lampard and Tuchel.)Debatable. Yeah. He technically has a year left on his deal, but he's open to staying and the club wants to keep him, they just haven't been able to agree terms. A lot can happen in a year, and I'm sure that if a move never materialises, Chelsea feel they have a good chance of convincing him to stay. So it's a bit more complicated than "one year left so should be cheap".Because we don't want to sell him and there's multiple clubs interested in him.
Look at the difference between this and what's going on with Kovacic and Havertz, who we are more than happy to sell.
