It’s not nonsense though? It’s something that is completely overlooked. I’ve seen the hatred already all over social media and on her friends accounts, this is a snippet of what would happen if he was sold and was successful at a big club elsewhere. It would be never ending every time he played well.
That should not be a factor in whether the club brings him back.
And here is actually one of the things that is incredibly grating about this. United is a football club. It shouldn't and doesn't have to make decisions based on harassment the wife of an employee could face at the hands of social media eejits. And it definitely shouldn't have to make decisions based on the failings of the court system. "Oh, the courts and police didn't do our job so we have to overcompensate to send a message that DV is serious" no one needs that from the club
It should be left to focus on football and make the Mason Greenwood decision based on the following: what can we do here that maximizes our chances of success on the pitch (either using him, or selling him for a high profit that we can re-invest or can use for FFP)... The idea of the board giving a feck about anything else is why we're behind the pack.
