Are we ever getting the explanation for why what we saw and heard is not exactly what we saw and heard? The internal investigation “cleared” him, so why don’t they release that information? It seems simple on paper: if he did it, he should be charged with a crime; if he didn’t do it, there’s no reason to keep him away.
Personally I think his partner was caught in the classic abuse trap, he made promises, and she believed those promises and declined to participate in the police investigation. We are kinda taking her side in this, defending her and not excusing the purported abuse, but if she’s a big girl and decides her own fate, why are we second guessing?
