He seems so natural on the right that I almost forget he’s a striker by trade. It really helps with the shape of the team to have a left footed right wing player.

Didn't get a goal or assist but in terms of general play, that's his best performance for the first team. Seemed to really show how well rounded he is. For me him at RW right now is a no brainer.

Yep, he's so much better equipped than either Martial or Rashford for that right wing, and now that they're making their respective positions their own, it's only natural that Greenwood makes the right wing his own. Mata can be serviceable there, but the big fish is obviously Sancho who would bring this to a whole new level. It would give Greenwood a back up role as both CF and RW, so he'd still get plenty of minutes and then depending on how Martial pans out, he could be the replacement up front.

So much natural talent, doesn't make the usual young player brainfart errors, he's going to become top class for us.

Mason isn't left footed. He is both footed.

I tend to agree with this. Much better at protecting the ball and getting rid of the players pressing him with simple body feints. Needs some muscle and improving his movement and linkup play in the final third and he will be our best forward at the club.

He played very against Sheffield. He held the ball very well against much tougher men. He's grown and bulked up a lot during the lockdown.

Moreover, he made our attack very balanced, and no longer left wing heavy. No wonder we scored 2 simple but terrific goals from crosses and cut backs from the right. If he was marked, AWB or Rashford could easily overlap and overload that right wing to provide the assist.

Their defenders and midfielders had a hard time marking our front 3. If they were marked, then there is bruno and AWB to disrupt their defensive structure.
Defenders seem to find marking James much easier than Greenwood.

I would prefer Greenwood start instead of James every game.

How often have we seen United create chances from the right hand side of midfield? Hardly.

It opened up so much space for Rashford, Bruno, Pogba.

We need to start Greenwood in PL games if we want to finish top 4.

First thing I thought when I read your comment was, "He's the opposite of Tahith Chong."

In fairness he's the opposite of a bulk of young players and some that aren't that young anymore when it comes to his awareness of his teammates and making the right choices, reminds me a bit of Sancho in that way, I think part of it comes down to being young attackers that aren't blessed with electric pace, they are both quick but not jet heeled, so they can't fall back on that, they have to think and play smarter which has benefitted them IMO.

Should have scored, if not for Pogba blocking his shot.
Before anyone jumps on me, I'm not hating on Pogba but I feel like it should've been a shot to the bottom left corner, hard to save. This guy has incredible technique when it comes into shooting. His goals didn't look like goals made by youngsters, so natural.

He's a key man for the run in. If he can get on a good run of form he will really balance out the attack. He's by far the best option for the right hand side when on form.

I hope he starts and scores at Norwich. A confident Greenwood could be the difference between finishing 3rd or outside the top 4.

He has come back stronger, faster and more physically resilient. However I don't like the look on his face. He always looks like someone ate his last cookie or something ...

I'd like to see him add a little more variety to his game by using his left foot crosses the ball from inside right

He's gotten so much stronger. I love the turns he does under pressure.

He is playing like a CF on the right. And I know he is a CF but It is making us too narrow. Hopefully, he will improve a bit more on involving with the team play.

Cutting inside and shooting with left foot seems the only trick he wants to go for mostly and it won't make him stand out to claim a first team spot anytime soon.

He looks to me to have physically levelled up, think he's due a goal soon and deserves to keep his starting place on the right.

He needs to learn how to stay involved in matches. We were dominating possession, and at one point we were having like 80% of the possession, yet I still kept forgetting that he was on the pitch. He's a very talented player, and on the ball, you can see his quality. But he tends to go missing in games, and while it usually happens when he starts, today he was anonymous as a sub. That being said, I would still start him on the right for the rest of the season. He's comfortably better than any of our other options there, and the upside is far greater anyways.

I am bit concerned about his development. He needs to decide, demand and play his specialized position. He is definitely not RW, nor he is proper right forward. He doesn't have enough pace to outpace modern fullbacks, he can't cut in, he can't cross and create. If he is thinks he should develop himself on the right then he could be looking at stagnant career. Whenever I watch him his movements seem natural and dynamic in the center, but on the right he seems unidimensional.

He doesn't have the physicality to lead the line at this stage of his career. Rashford struggles there too and is far more developed physically.

It's an issue for United across the board that everyone wants to play centrally and the team gets far too narrow (including the full backs). He just needs to learn the wide right role better. He may not have the speed but his two footedness and ability to go either way is a dangerous weapon.

Greenwood's future for the next season or two will be wide right. I can only see him playing as a striker in a front 2.

Getting so many minutes at his age is only helping his development. Not hurting it. He’s learning a lot from playing as a right inside forward. Often switching flanks. But of a daft post tbh.

He is so, so, so fecking good. Still 18 and hasn’t even started developing his footballing brain. It’s a shame Sancho will take his spot

He seems to be a bit underrated right now. For his age, playing in the PL and having as many goals as he does is simply incredible. Imagine if one of those highly rated Real Madrid youngsters put up the numbers he has this season. People would go nuts for them already and they would be valued at 100m easily.. if they aren't already. This boy is outperforming everyone except Haaland and Sancho who are both a year older. We'll see at this time next year though how close he is to what they have been doing this season. He'll be right up there, imo.

Sancho will take James' spot, Greenwood will then compete with James for the back up spot. Lingard should be sold.

What a load of rubbish. He's scored 3/4 goals this season by cutting in. His first goal for the club against Astana he cut in and scored with his right

No they wouldn't. He has 5 goals in the premier league and no one is spending 100m on a forward with 5 league goals in any country.

Would be a great option to have on the bench, hopefully next season Ole can look at the bench and can bring on Ighalo, Greenwood & Grealish each can bring something different, if we’re creating chances but not taking them being Greenwood on, not creating chances Grealish comes on, or if we’re leading then Ighalo comes on.
Rather then currently looking at the bench and only having Ighalo, otherwise you’re handicapping yourself having to bring on Mata, Pereira or Lingard
