What is the realistic chance of Martial staying ? 20% ?

Of course in isolation goals per minute shouldn't be the deciding factor, but when combined with the excitement Martial brings to the team and the obvious talent he possesses it should be a no-brainer.Goal per minute is a tough one though @CM10, I mean, I'd wager Morata looks like he's had a better season that either Lukaku or Firminho if going from gpm.
Imagine OGS gpm... ha ha, 1 goal every 20 minutes or something similar.

Presumably the purpose of signing a player like Willian (who turns 30 this summer) is to fast-track us to a league title, but can that even be argued when 1) he isn't even outperforming Martial currently and 2) we're already so far behind City?
Granted, he is a better fit for Mourinho's system than Martial but how significant a factor is that really? Is it worth sacrificing a player who should be at the forefront of United for the next few seasons to accommodate that change?
It's a good point. I don't think Martial would stay beyond a couple more years anywayIf martial turned down a contract because he feels he's not loved enough rest assured he wont stay long with us when madrid comes knocking. And that's if he made it
Hopefully true. The Mail saying Mourinho wants him to stay.
Apparently offered him a more central roleThe Mail saying Mourinho wants him to stay.
A lot of people here have the opinion that dribbling is all Martial does whereas Willian is touted to be a brilliant player. Willian has just about the same number of goals and assists as Martial does while playing something like 300 minutes more(in premier league) and Willian plays in a setup where he is protected by wingbacks, 2 central midfielders(2.5 IMO Kante really is more than one midfielder) and three central defenders.I like Martial, but I wouldn't be against this, and I don't think too many fans would be either. Willian is brilliant, and we are desperate for someone to play RW. It would be a good piece of business for the team.
So? Madrid aren't going to find it easy to prize a player from us. Even if they did, they'd pay us a feck tonne. If martial turned down a contract because he feels he's not loved enough rest assured he wont stay long with us when madrid comes knocking. And that's if he made it

True. But the potential pay off with Martial is enormous. He's most likely going to be a vastly superior football than William. He's simply got a lot more natural talent in him. And William isn't good enough to make the trade off worth it.Maybe Willian offers more than just goals? You realise they are different type of players?

I still wouldn't go for that trade as I personally think Martial isn't is far off from being a terrific player. But yes you could have made that argument in that scenario. He's nearly 30 though. If Willian was 24-26 it might be worth it.
That's the crux of the argument for me. If he leaves here he won't be taking some drastic step down to get minutes. There are clubs that are currently more successful than we are, and he could play more regularly than he does here.
Apart from the love he gets from fans I see no practical reason he'd want to stay.
My favorite United player, absolutely gutted. He's destine to be one of the best in the world in an attacking team but just not in Mourinho's setup.
Hopefully he re-signs but I'm at the stage where modern players contract talks piss me off so much (for our clubs and others). So I'd rather not see us be held ransom, regardless of the players ability.

(I have no idea how reliable Kris Voakes is)
Sort of get the impression Mourinho doesn't see him as irreplaceable but doesn't plan on next season without him in the squad. He's a rotational option just like Rashford and Lingard until they improve. He's also open to selling him if the offer is too good to turn down.
Basically think he's happy to let Martial be a grump about his playing time, provided he's not causing problems.
I honestly don't know how you can say he's destined to become one of the best in the world because he hasn't shown that. Its more wishful thinking ?
We don't need to sell for money, he'll need to create a scene just to get us to the table. Ofcourse they'll have to pay top whackNot if said player cause a fuzz they wont.
Saw somewhere that Unitrd have said they'll play him centrally more often if he stays.
Andy Mitten: "United have no intention of selling Martial and are not looking to sign any new forwards. If he wants to leave then he'd really have to push for it, but United are good at holding on to players."
Hope Martial doesn't get fooled by Mourinho and pushes for the move.
We’ve been lucky this season in that Lukaku has stayed fit, we’re really short of strikers, it would be nice to see Martial get a chance upfront.
