Can't wait when the window's over, he isn't sold and you guys are here being angry again. Then I'll pop champagne and watch glorious sir Marouane Fellaini get Ballon d'Or and wipe his arse with other teams.

I don't hate him. He seems a nice lad. He's a game footballer and he clearly is desperate to be successful. My issue with him is the same as prior to him signing: he's not a very good footballer. He's good, obviously enough, but in the words of Clint Eastwood "Girlie, tough ain't enough". His style of play isn't suited to the style of most top sides, and certainly not any of the footballing sides. At present we're aspiring to that and I think he's a hindrance to positive, attractive football. He's a much better player than he looked last season but he's not a United footballer, unfortunately. I feel sorry for him in many ways. He's hung out to dry but it's not his fault he's not talented enough to play in a team that won't play to his strengths.
He would make it at most top sides. Not Real Madrid or anything but... Arsenal were supposedly in for him before we signed him. There was rumours of Chelsea too. This was after the 12/13 season.

Napoli is a good team too, if these rumours are true. I hope to god we don't sell him though. If we sign Vidal, I want to see a midfield trio of Fellaini - Vidal - Herrera.

That's the spirit. :D

Hopefully he doesn't do an Anderson. He may well be shit but I think he tries so hopefully he can do well at Napoli should they take him on loan.

You'll be disappointed when Tom Cleverley sweeps up all the awards ahead of him then.

O'Shea was linked to Barca once.

Papers always make funny rumours up. That means jack shit. As far as I'm aware Arsenal didn't submit a official bid for him. Nor did Chelsea.

And by any chance are you related to Goldenstatesplash?

I'd celebrate the sale of Fellani as much as I would the signing of Vidal. Seriously.

He won't even start a game for them. Behrami/Inler as CDMs and Hamsik behind Higuain.

I rather we let him go to a club where he'd play off the striker and score goals.

I'm happy enough if we can quietly move him along, a loan deal for the season would prob suit both parties.

We don't exactly need the cash this Summer so prob best to try get his £100k+ a week wages off our books. He might even gain some confidence playing over there.

He said he doesn't want to play there. He see's himself as some Keano figure, box to box dominant centre mid, he's deluded.

Why? Does the possibility of Carrick and Cleverley in midfield for yet another season excite you that much?

I'd take all the CMs I can get just so I don't have to watch that ghastly average pairing ever again. Atleast Fellaini adds a bit of star power in the middle.

Nope. I always wanted Fellaini at United, even when he played for Everton. I was glad Moyes signed him and I blame the fans for his lack of success so far. Cause they're being incredibly ignorant. Some of the posts in here are laughable to say the least.

Hello Mrs Fellaini..

Nope. And If I remember correctly, quite a few Arsenal fans were calling for the signing of Fellaini.

Are you smoking the same shit goldie was?

A lot of our fans (like you) were glad we signed Fellaini as well not really knowing where his best position was. Looks like you and those Arsenal fans were proven wrong.

I laughed.

But seriously, I haven't seen any fans hate one of their own so much as United fans hate Fellaini. They'd rather see him fail than become good. They overlook the fact that he was riddled with wrist and back injuries and was brought in during our worst season in recent history.

He deserves a chance like everyone else. If we sell him for 15m, we all look like mugs. Fellaini, United, the fans, everyone. I'd rather see him prove his worth cause I think he's capable of it. If he plays like he did at Everton than to me, he was worth the 27m.

The thing that annoys me? People hate Fellaini cause he reminds them of Moyes and last season. Well what were those same fans doing last season when we were getting dicked by Newcastle, Everton, West Brom and the like? SINGING MOYES'S NAME. Why not sing Fellaini's name and try to give the poor guy a bit of confidence? It wasn't his fault he was brought in. And he actually WANTS TO PLAY for us. Despite 95% of the fans giving shit to him. That's the United attitude. Never give up.

Why do the fans look like mugs if we move somebody on who isn't good enough?

He'd add as much star power in the midfield as Peter Kay.

This newbie system needs reworking.

Joined few months ago and behaving like a good boy in the newbie form, so he can start wumming in the mains.

Cause we bought him for 27m and are losing 12m without ever giving him a real chance?

We gave him plenty of chances last season and he's not good enough. It was obvious to everyone except David Moyes that Fellaini isn't good enough for a side that aim to be one of the best around. He's competent as a footballer, but not good enough to be in a top midfield.

If something looks like a potato and tastes like a potato, then it's probably a potato. You don't give it more time to see whether it's a fillet steak.

His best position is a box to box midfielder. He can and has played behind the midfield aswell, contrary to what people might think in here.

What kind of logic is that ? What constitutes "a real chance" ? Guess we also looked like mugs reneging on our promise to give DM 6 seasons and losing out on the severence pay without giving him a "real chance" to "fundamentally rebuild the club". It's clear as day Marouanne doesn't have the technical qualities or mental aptitude to anchor down a position in Van Gaal's starting XI. What's the point in delaying the inevitable while paying him 100k + per week ? I struggle to rationalize your line of thought..

This is an extremely reductive argument recycled by Fellaini's staunchest supporters. How is he a box to box when he doesn't have the mobility, footballing awareness, quick passing movements and engine to play that role effectively ? And he can't play behind the midfield neither. To do that you must have great defensive ability, reading of the game, positional sense - all of which he's sorely lacking in. Chestal prowess does not a midfielder make.

He's shite as a box to box midfielder with the first touch of a rapist, lacks the intelligence and mobility for a start. If he was as good as you say Van Gaal would have kept him around (or Arsenal would be sniffing back apparently ) but I think your son has been found out at this level and will be moved on to a place where he can effectively be a battering ram number 10 where he was at his best for Everton.

Not really. He played injured in most of those games.

No, he didn't. He was fully fit for plenty of games. He definitely wasn't injured for most of the games he played in. I mean, he may have played like he was injured, but he wasn't for most of the season as you're saying.

It's no surprise that he struggled to play with a wrist injury. That's virtually his whole skill set wiped out.

It feels like it should be wrong that I started grinning so much when I saw a story linking a United player with a move away but that is the power of Fellaini. Actually surprised someone like Benitez would want a player like him to be honest.

He's as good as gone.

Van Gaal listed him amongst his most attacking players. We know he's not a good enough number 10.

A Carrick/Cleverley midfield excites me infinitely more then any midfield containing Fellaini, mainly on the basis that at least those two actually have some sort vague resemblance of footballers who can control and pass a football.

All Fellaini adds is elbows. Just because he's big, doesn't mean he adds any power what so ever. He's an absolute fanny in the tackle, and any slightly skillful player just waltzes past him as if he wasn't there (well, if they manage to avoid his attempted elbows and rugby tackles that is).

We need Moyes or Belgians first team coach to land a decent club role it's the only way I can see him going permanently.

Rafa will have 1 season with him and he will be back here milking his 70k a week.

Remember Gerrard lumped him back in March?.....He was fairly quick to go missing then. More so than usual.
