Marouane Fellaini | 2013/14 Performances

I think the way van Gaal sets up his team will need all players to be able to pass the ball accurately while under pressure. He always requires that from his players and Fellaini has shown he's very susceptible to misplacing passes and losing the ball too easily when under such pressure from opponents. We need midfielders that we can trust in this system. You carelessly lose a ball up the field because of a mistake while having your wing backs forward, you're exposing yourself to a counter attack.

With Andy Carroll's injury, surely Big Sam can use him upfront to create nuisance?

Obviously total BS but i'd carry him by piggy back all the way to Napoli if it were true

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...i-leaving-manchester-united-on-loan-to-napoli

Apparently Napoli director Riccardo Bigon was seen at a hotel in Brussels with Marouane Fellaini and a deal is being discussed according to CalcioNapoli24.it. The Partonepei have a small budget to work with and it is no secret Rafa Benitez has been after a midfielder having been linked with Spurs players Sandro, Mousa Dembele and Cristian Eriksen. However, it seems Fellaini is the man Benitez will get on loan, leaving him 15 million euros to attempt to sign some of the other targets he has in mind.

The Italian outlet title their piece 'Exclusive - Napoli has borrowed Fellaini!'

The report claims a deal for Manchester City's Javi Garcia fell through because they are not interested in loaning the Spaniard, only selling. Bayer Leverkusen's Cristoph Kramer is also a target but any deal is difficult to complete as he has another year left on his loan deal with Borussia Munchengladbach.

And so the big international midfielder Napoli fans will watch strut his stuff in Naples next season will be Fellaini, who after his reported £27 million move from Everton to Manchester United, barely inspired the fans to give him a second chance in the coming season.

One little thing worth noting though... the rumour has emanated from a Facebook post by DJ Carlo Grieco who claims he saw the Napoli supremo and Fellaini's entourage together while he was playing at Tomorrowland. Make of that what you will in Italy it's being taken rather seriously.

There is another. :(

At first I thought it was shopped but that is actually his little brother, absolute spitting image.

FFS.

We probably had the Fellaini on the left instead of the real Marouane.

Love how no one has even bothered making a 'Fellaini - 2014/15 performances' thread. Bless him.

He will (well he should) still have a chance to prove himself under Van Gaal. I'd like to see him as a holding midfielder next to Herrera.

I want Fellaini out almost as much as I want another midfielder in.

Media briefed, clearly this is a legit story. Would be delighted if we managed to sell him as long as we bring in someone else.

I'd rather cut our losses and release him, pay off his contract. He actually hurts our team with his presence.

No he doesn't. He wasn't even our worst player last season... Carrick was even worse.
You are having a fecking laugh with that statement. Carrick wasn't great but Fellaini in our lineup is like playing a man down.

Let's get that engraved into a trophy "Slightly less shit than Carrick 2013-2014."
I laughed.

But seriously, I haven't seen any fans hate one of their own so much as United fans hate Fellaini. They'd rather see him fail than become good. They overlook the fact that he was riddled with wrist and back injuries and was brought in during our worst season in recent history.

He deserves a chance like everyone else. If we sell him for 15m, we all look like mugs. Fellaini, United, the fans, everyone. I'd rather see him prove his worth cause I think he's capable of it. If he plays like he did at Everton than to me, he was worth the 27m.

The thing that annoys me? People hate Fellaini cause he reminds them of Moyes and last season. Well what were those same fans doing last season when we were getting dicked by Newcastle, Everton, West Brom and the like? SINGING MOYES'S NAME. Why not sing Fellaini's name and try to give the poor guy a bit of confidence? It wasn't his fault he was brought in. And he actually WANTS TO PLAY for us. Despite 95% of the fans giving shit to him. That's the United attitude. Never give up.

Sometimes if you love someone you have to set them free. And sometimes if someone is a talentless cnut you have to set them free. Different situations for different people.
That's the same solution for different people.

I don't hate him. He seems a nice lad. He's a game footballer and he clearly is desperate to be successful. My issue with him is the same as prior to him signing: he's not a very good footballer. He's good, obviously enough, but in the words of Clint Eastwood "Girlie, tough ain't enough". His style of play isn't suited to the style of most top sides, and certainly not any of the footballing sides. At present we're aspiring to that and I think he's a hindrance to positive, attractive football. He's a much better player than he looked last season but he's not a United footballer, unfortunately. I feel sorry for him in many ways. He's hung out to dry but it's not his fault he's not talented enough to play in a team that won't play to his strengths.

You're an absolute wind up. No doubt about it.
Nope. I always wanted Fellaini at United, even when he played for Everton. I was glad Moyes signed him and I blame the fans for his lack of success so far. Cause they're being incredibly ignorant. Some of the posts in here are laughable to say the least.

"Playing with Fellaini is like playing with 10 men."

"He's West Brom/Stoke quality."

"I've seen better players in the conference division."

I mean, come on.

Still doesn't make him United quality, because he isn't. Complete mismatch, Manchester United and Marouane Fellaini.
