Mario Balotelli

No no, thats not right.

It's because Balotelli is a cnut asking for £300,000 a week after tax.

I think a wage cap in the big leagues would do wonders. Slowly money are ruining the game. The romance of it back in the days is truly gone.

£300,000 a week  football is become laughable by the fecking day! We'll have Rooney and Rio asking for 500K soon, bloody ridiculous.

It's not football it's just what happens when you brag about your millions and have no history or success to show for it, players start taking the piss. He could never demand for that at United even Madrid.

Haha I was joking...!

I was just laughing at the fact everyone has been doing exactly what I said they do.... condemn him on his reputation.

If you read this thread someone said he was holding up the transfer with wage demands.

Everyone jumped on him and said he's a cnut and this is a sign of things to come.

Then, it comes out that Inter are holding up the talks because City are not offering what they want.

It's just like I said, he gets talked down all the time because of how the Italian media built up his persona and it snowballed to what it is now.

He's got his problems, I'm not denying that and I don't think being at City will help him whatsoever. The reason I wanted him at United is because I believe Ferguson could have channeled his talent and so called "negative mental triats" into a positive energy.

Sadly, we'll never see that.

300k IS what they'll start paying players next summer.

yaya is on 220? Imagine what they would pay a real PROPER star, if they got one.

The crazy thing is that it doesn't sound too far fetched

It does for me. He's in no advantage of asking for that kind of money, which would be the highest wage in the world. Sure he may want half or a third of that figure and I highly doubt even City would negotiate anything above Adebayor's wage. They'd laugh at Ballotelli's agent if a mere mention of anything north of 150k. At least they should.

When Toure just signed a contract for 220k a week, why shouldn't the greedy cnut ask for 300?

What makes you think that Balotelli won't feature in FSW plans? As much as he's desperate to leave, Shitty need another high profile player. He's a top talent and the only way of Shitty would snap him up is if they offer him crazy money.

They made Toure the highest paid player in Prem, and Balotelli is a greedy one allright.

I don't believe that he'll get more than Messi(who is on 250), but 200k a week doesn't sound that far fetched.

that someone was me. based on yesterdays media reports. but in order to try to make your point you just ignore the bit of todays report that says they havnt met balotellis demands either and just focus on the transfer fee dispute.

and its not just the italian media. unusually some of his own teammates have been saying he should go.

I think, more than that, it reflects on what a joke of a club City have become, that he thinks he can screw that much out of them. They'll probably pay it too. Because they are retards

I think when these FFP Regulations come into play, these player salaries will actually start to come down again. There's just no way they can go up from here.

If City are banging these salaries about then they'd better get building those fecking casinos pretty quickly cos they just won't be able to afford them by 2012 as things stand today.

Let them have their fun while it lasts. It'll all end in tears.

Mario Balotelli has cast doubt over his proposed move to Man City by admitting he gets homesick.

The Inter Milan striker has become embroiled in a long-running transfer saga this summer, with his future dominating the headlines.

City have been tracking the 19-year-old striker for some time, with former Inter boss Robert Mancini unfazed by the youngster's fiery temperament.

A big-money deal was believed to be edging closer earlier this week, with the Blues confident they were about to land their man.

However, talks have stalled and the issue continues to drag on without a clear conclusion in sight.

Alone
Balotelli was thought to be keen on a switch after becoming disillusioned with life at Inter, but he has now revealed that he would find it hard to leave his homeland.

He told Italy's Vanity Fair magazine: "I don't like being alone. I can't imagine being far from my family, in another city."

The fiery youngster has also admitted that he sometimes struggles to control his temper.

He suffered numerous bust-ups with former coach Jose Mourinho last season and accepts that he can fly off the handle at times.

"Sometimes on the field my head leads me astray," he said.

Bored
"I have no problems with self control over my body. I've never hurt anyone, never reacted violently.

"I tried to correct my behaviour for two or three weeks but I couldn't take it any more. I got bored.

"I am a boy, not a grown man, but I will become one. I always want to be the centre of attention. That's how I am and others don't like it.

"Even if I don't always behave as I should, this still doesn't explain why so many people have something against me.

"Whatever I do, people always talk about me. They keep at it non-stop. Balotelli here, Balotelli there. Why?"

If it was united we'd invite the family. Personally 300,000 a week to play for city. Why not? He's not a big player but if they want him...They're not a big club. If it was a big club I doubt anyone would ask for that kinda wages but city ain't and no amount of money changes that.

I doubt yaya would get anywhere close to that wage at liverpool, arsenal or united and he wouldn't have asked. All city have to offer is someone elses money. I don't think he's a cnut for asking that off city. He might just think they're a bit shit and he can do better.

300,000 is a joke right now but will become real next summer when City are playing CL football and can lure some bigger stars. Ronaldo's salarie also increases with each year, so probably the next he'll be around 300,000 a week too, and in 3 years, he'll be in around 500,000 a week.

the cap will be in to stop that. I don't believe that will be allowed. That's not football at all. 500,000 a week? fecking hell. It's bad enough at the minute and people make out this is good for the game...stupidos

You think football wages are nuts, look at American sports like baseball and basketball with 20-30m annual salaries for the top players. And not always the top players as some marginal players get top dollar because a club will overpay to keep him from another club.

If introduced yeah, but it doesn't look anywhere near at the moment.

Don't they have salary caps? American football has, right? I understand even that way players still earn a hell lot of money, plus teams have to pay to 52 players and like 10+ coaching staff people.

only the smart ones...american football, basketball, hockey, mls. baseball is still out of control. there are player's unions too.

we should legislate a salary cap in your industry of work.

salary caps are inherently wrong. and for all the so called smarts of a salary cap, baseball is much more healthier than the nba and hockey and mls.

i'm sure next you'll want non-guaranteed contracts like they have in the nfl, yeah? the same nfl that'll most likely have a work stoppage the season after this upcoming one.

according to the italian media, stephen ireland has been offered to Inter as part of the Balotelli deal. Also, benitez want mascherano and kuyt. Liverpool want 24m euros for mascherano, inter offered 15m + muntari

Ummm... most companies, if not all, operate on budgets and assign a cap to wages.

He will be 20 in ten days time, when does one cease to be an adolescent and become a fully grown adult? At his age he can have a beer in most countries and vote in his own home country, how much more growing up does he need to do?

Comic gold and never have I read/heard so much vanity in one interview

He's Italian, he would probably prefer to life it mama's house until 38 or so...

I know, its racist

An average 20 year old has still got lots and lots of maturing as a person to do. Not to mention one that a professional footballer. He's not just your average 20 year old like many of us on here was. We didn't have every mistake magnified in national press etc.

I'm not sure being able to vote and drink bear makes you a 'man'.

Ummm... most companies, if not all, operate on budgets and assign a cap to wages.

and it is the companies decision to do so, not the industry/sector.

Just as it is up to a football club to assign an internal cap to wages if it chooses to do so but the to have a salary cap managed by the fa, fifa, or uefa is wrong.

However if united wants to set a cap for its players, that is well within the right of united to do so.

The Times is reporting that City have agreed a 5 year verbal deal with Balotelli, and that Robinho could go the other way.

But I can't read the actual full story (here) because the Times are cnuts and charge.

The Italians say that there's a gap between the offer and price of 4 million and Brian Marwood (arriving in Milan tomorrow) , is trying to include a player in the negotiations (Robinho or Ireland). Inter want a clause in the agreement that would allow the Nerazzurri a right of first refusal if the City decides to sell on later.

Have a feeling that Inter are going to come out of this smiling!

Sounds like City are skint, fancy haggling over £4m.

And if you supported a club that routinely struggled to stay up and couldn't afford to keep its best players, you'd be on the other side of the argument.

Thankfully for Inter Milan fans Rafa doesn’t see a penny of any money that comes in, this isn’t Liverpool where their all so blinded by the Manipulation of Benitez, Inter know this mans a living catastrophe with transfer funds.

Its like trusting a piranha fish with your child taking swimming lessons.

Honestly if Inter get anything like 35 million for this lad they’ve made a killing, hes not worth anything like that amount, when you consider what Barcelona paid for a far superior player in Villa it puts it into perspective.
