I get the feeling if Balotelli really wanted to go there that this deal would be done, I dont think he really cares to go there
I wouldn't if I were him, no CL football this year and about a 1/3 chance of getting it next year. Wenger would take him like a shot if he was going for about £20M but not at 35.
City are just buying players up although it is probably a Mancini signing. He can't be happy with the team he inherited and he knows he needs to show something this season or he'll be out of a job.
I actually quite like Mancini, Hughes was almost resentful of his position and he spent a lot of money on not a great deal of genuine quality.

Tevez was a good signing albeit overpriced, Adebayor will probably have a better year this season than last; they certainly improved with those signings that he made

The more he draws it out the more money he'll be offered. I'm sure its not his first choice, but City may be the only club to offer Inter the amount they want for him.
There in lies his and Ibrahimovic's problem, if they had half the drive that say Ronaldo has they would be almost unplayable.
Apparently the scheduled meeting between Balotelli's agent raiola and City officials did not take place. According to the Italian press, Raiola said that he and his client are not in a hurry, but City are.

Id actually love for him to sign for City I think hed do no small amount of damage to that dressing room, and id much rather him go there than say a proven goalscorer like Dzeko or an already established top class player, Balottelis an accident waiting to happen and i cant wait for him to cause uproar in the city camp.
Put it another way if he was that special then city wouldn’t be the only club in for him would they, its telling that neither of the two Spanish giants are even glancing at him and I very much doubt weve shown any interest either, hence why the player and his agent are continually stalling the deal, they want a big club to come in for him as clearly he doesn’t fancy joining a europa legaue club who are second best even in their own city, he clearly dosnt want to go to city but their the only ones in for him, none of the big clubs are interested and Inter are more than happy to sell it would seem.

Lots of points there, firstly Barca aren't going after him because they already have an abundance of riches in that area (and far less riches in the bank) and Real aren't in for him because Mourinho has already shown he's incapable of controlling Balotelli. It's been said before in this thread but Ballotelli is not the caricature that many are trying to cast him as, he's just a slightly lost teenage boy living in a country where he's being racially abused on a weekly basis. Mancini handled him perfectly adequately beforehand and I see no reason why he's be anything other than an asset to City.

Because in a month or two I'm going to have to pretend to my City mates that we always thought Balotelli was a petulant little twat and I never wanted him near our dressing room, that's going to be quite difficult when they all have access to Redcafe.
considering his circumstances moving to city can be the worst decision in his life for balotelli.. he has the talent but he s a "bit" of a problem child and there is no one better at putting someone like that on the right track like fergie. I cant see that at city atm with all those merceneries and cnuts in the same dressing room.

I want him here and I won't be ashamed of that if he does sign for City. If he's managed correctly which I think Ferguson could do, then I think he has the height, physique, power, pace, awareness and technical ability to be one of the best in the world.
Sadly I think if he ends up at City he wont be managed very well, will be exposed to the press rather than protected and alongside the likes of Tevez, Bellamy, Adebayor and possibly Robinho rather than Giggs, Scholes and Neville he's going to gave the wrong influence away from the pitch and that will be terrible for him.
He has the potential to be the next Ronaldo and his next choice will decide wether he has the chance to fulfil that or I think he'll become the next Robinho.

For a start, who says the views of the majority of redcafe posters are an accurate representation of the views of the majority of manchester united supporters? Or that the majority are always right? The majority wanted us to sign Hargreaves and Berbatov. And Silva. And so on.
This would be easier to describe to someone who actually has football banter with friends.
I think he'll be a quality player wherever he goes, but he's also likely to be a disruptive influence in the dressing room and a cnut on the pitch as he has been till this point. And in the end probably not worth the trouble. Eventually he might mature but even if he went to City there's no guarantee it would happen there. And no guarantee it would happen with us.
At the end of the day other talents with less drawbacks like Hernandez are good enough.

Hes just trying desperately to drum up interest from any of the big clubs, its clear Balotelli really doesn’t fancy moving to City hence the continued delaying tactics of him and his agent, the agent and the player are desperate for a respectable sized club to come in for his client, lets face it leaving the Italian and European champions Inter Milan for Man city is a massive step down in quality never mind culture, champions league football to Europa league stuff, title winners to 5th place also-rans...its entirely understandable neither the player nor agent are in any rush to do any deal with a club citys size.

My very first post in this thread i said i didnt want Balotelli here, plenty of others have said similiar, some people genuinly just dont want him and never did want him at the club nothing to do with 'pretending' at all.

The agent will get big money whoever Balotelli joins, i think if either the agent or Balotelli were remotly satisfied with him joining City the deal would be done by now seeing as their obviously the only serious bidders in for him, the more you read from the agent the more his comments reek of "were desperatly waiting and hoping for bigger clubs to show an interest before we commit ourselves to anything" the stuff coming out of his camp is delaying tactics if ever ive seen em trying to draw it out as long as humanly possible in the hope something bigger comes in.
For what its worth i reckon he'll end up at city anyway purely and simply because no one else seems to bothered about him.
