Mario Balotelli

Should sell a few in here.

He's a top young talent, nowt wrong with wanting him here

He has a track record of upsetting the apple cart.

Regardless of talent, you don't want that in your dressing room - especially at City where they already have 600 forward players.

Bellamy, Adebayor, Ballotelli, Toure(s), Vieira and Scarface in the dressing room at once.

Probably end up with Bellamy beating them all with a 9 iron.

I shouldn't laugh but that was fairly amusing if Bellamy is a racist, I thought he was just an all around twat who didnt discriminate

Bellamy will move anyway, even if Balotelli doesn't sign, I'm not sure Vieira's contract has been extended and he probably realizes that he's a part-timer there and I don't really think that either of Toure brothers is that atmosphere disrupting. They will cope.

Bellamy is a cool dude and at £3m I wouldn't mind him here
To be honest i couldnt stand the little twot at one time but he's kinda grown on me.

One thing for sure he aint a bottler or afraid of a big stage, you could imagine him giving his all to put on a United shirt.

Vieira has agreed another year.

Toure brothers are very disruptive...where have you been for the last 2 seasons?

Yaya wanted a reported 15% pay rise when playing for Barcelona and basically held the club to ransom, and lost the game of chicken and was eventually sold to the highest bidder.
Kolo Toure, according to Almunia, grew bored at the Emirates...yeah right, more like they doubled his wage at City.

Basically the Toure brothers are whores who sell themselves to the highest bidder. Nothing wrong with that outside of football, but in football there is something called Loyalty.

You better be joking young man!!!!!

Deadly serious, Bellamy appears to be one of those players everyone but his own fans hate. I love the way he took Bridge's side in the John Terry thing.

People call him a cnut and all that but we only know the surface level of him. I was researching his foundation in Sierra Leone and he really has done a lot in the country for the young. He has no connection to Sierra Leone but he took it upon himself to help out so can't be all that bad in my book.

It doesn't benefit papers to tell everyone that away from the spotlight he is a good guy as it kills the often bleeted story that he is a cnut but sadly he isn't. I remember when I wrote about Drogba buying a hospital in Ivory Coast some cock had the cheek to say he is still a prick.

I think buying a WHOLE hospital negates that

And feck off for even mentioning/thinking of Bellamy in a red shirt.

I'd rather Jump off a bridge!

He was one of the lowest earners at the club and for my money better than Biscuits, but yeah it was a game of chicken and well depending on how you look at he lost. He certainly got his money and then some at City, where as he would have probably just had his ransom met at Barcelona and regained his spot from Biscuits, all while playing for the best side in Europe. In the age of moving all around, essentially player free agency, get over it. He was a quality buy by City, and I would love to see them fall on their faces but they are getting better year by year. What's wrong with him taking the most possible money from City sure they dont have the history of Barcelona, but he has already won there, isnt from there, and could very well win a Premier League title in his time with the club, there first in quite a while. You call him a whore, I call him a modern footballer.

I dont see why they would sell Bellamy or he would move, he has found a niche at City, and was excellent for them, one of their best players. For all the twat he is, he is a very good player and has shown it at City, they might be able to buy a bigger name than him, but I doubt he will have a better season than Bellamy did last year. He played on the wing and upfront for them scored a lot and really stretched the play, the laser he scored v United was top notch. If he moves fine by me, because for all his twatness he was extremely effective for them last year in multiple positions

Personally I have no issue with his personality, but since when were we in such a poor state that we started to except City's castoffs?

I'd sooner dangle my nuts into a vat of boiling oil than witness the day we sign him.

Well there are better ways to get pay parity. Keep playing well and you will be rewarded. Don't throw up a fit and run away.

The poster said Toure wasn't disruptive...I said he was, and I backed up my point. End of really.

 that's some serious testicular damage!
I thought your problem was with him personally.
Wouldn't mind Ireland either. I'm not beyond signing a player that could improve our team.

According to Macari he talked with a trusted person within the United camp which confirmed him that we are not interested in Balotelli. It was on MUTV.

I remember him saying very similar things about Berbatov and how he didn't want him at the club. He was mortified when we signed him and has held that against Berbatov ever since.

Also macari was saying that 1 or 2 people who have been linked in papers are correct. So i do get the feelingthat we will sing at least 1 more player. Probably be in creative midfield rather than a striker!

you misunderstood what he said perhaps, he knows nothing so sadly there is no feeling to get. That said we've lots to look forward too

Chirag yes ...but is the person he asked? I doubt it :)

and never fails to remind us every time he commentates on a United game. Was he mortified when we signed Nani too as he gets the same treatment.

Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez has revealed that he is open to the club selling Mario Balotelli this summer, as Manchester United, Manchester City and now Chelsea circle the striker.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to both Old Trafford and Eastlands for several weeks, with the player's agent Mino Raiola admitting that both Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini were keen on recruiting the temperamental Italian.

However, the pair could now also face competition from former AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is reportedly eager to play the youngster alongside Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge.

City appear to be the current favourites to secure Balotelli's signature, with Mancini having worked with the frontman during his time in charge at the San Siro.

And former Liverpool boss Benitez has insisted that he would have no problem should president Massimo Moratti decide to cash in on the talented teenager, if either United, City or Chelsea come calling.

"Balotelli? Lets wait and see what happens. The club decides the transfer market and I adapt. The fact remains that one player doesn't make the team, and Inter have plenty of strong players," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The player himself has hinted that he would be open to a move to either Old Trafford or Eastlands, but added that he leaves all talk about his future to his agent, telling Corriere dello Sport:

"I want to do well in the coming campaign, because I don't think we've seen the real Balotelli, the one who can target the Ballon d'Or.

"When I talk about my future I always say 'I don't know' because next season I want to play consistently. I need that."

"I cannot be considered valuable and yet never play. To know more, ask my agent. In any case, if Manchester City and Manchester United want me, I can't be that bad."

Ancelotti recently ruled out a move for injury-plagued Liverpool forward Fernando Torres, with Balotelli now believed to be the Italian's top target as he bids to retain the Premier League title and secure a first Champions League crown for the Blues.

Manchester United Agree Deal to Sign £25.5m Italian: Ferguson Set for Mario Balotelli

According to Italy’s famous Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United have agreed personal contract terms with 19-year-old Inter Milan wonderkid Mario Balotelli. It is believed United bid €30 (£25.5) Million for Balotelli, with president Massimo Moratti and agent Mino Raiola set to discuss the possible deal later today…
Gazzetta reports that Balotelli has agreed a pay-package with Old Trafford, and has his heart set on moving to the world’s largest club. It is believed that Sir Alex is ready to dish-out €30 (£25) Million for the Italian’s signature, with Manchester City still very interested. (Gazzetta dello Sport via United Latest)

So this source believes personal terms have been agreed with the teenage Italian starlet but now it seems that Manchester City could spoil the party with an increased bid for the Inter Milan man. The troubled forward seems desperate to leave the treble winners after falling out with all and sundry at the club and the ball appears to be in his court now in terms of where he would like to go.

A move to Juventus was also touted but I would imagine Mario wants a fresh challenge away from his homeland after all that has gone on. Clearly the Eastlnands outfit are able to offer a huge wage but one would imagine that the talented attacker may be more interested in being able to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League honours.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been reported as saying he is happy with his current squad but he has said similar things in the past only to make big name signings. Balotelli has a great deal of potential and offers an adaptable threat either out wide of as an out and out forward.

Really?

You must tell everyone about this immediately!

Leaving one club for another for a pay rise is hardly "disruptive" especially when teh boss cealry thinks you're not teh player you were. Toure gave his all for Arsenal for years.

i personally don't like macari like a few on here. he's a pessimist but the way he was speaking was that his source said no about balotelli but there could be some intrest in other players that we have been linked to.

Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly leading a host of clubs in the chase for one of Serie A’s young sensations, the 19-year-old Inter striker Mario Balotelli. West Ham were strongly linked with a loan move last season when Gianfranco Zola admitted, “I have done everything I can to sign Mario and it would be in both our interests and his.” However, it would seem that is now a straight race between Roberto Mancini and Sir Alex Ferguson for the volatile teenager’s signature.

The youngster of Ghanaian descent was born in Palermo and broke into Serie C1 side Lurnezzane at the tender age of 15. He made 2 League appearances for the club until some of the biggest clubs in Europe moved in for him including Manchester United, Barcelona and Fiorentina. However, it was Milan giants Inter that won his much sought after signature. However, after falling out with Jose Mourinho over a lack of first team football as well as the Inter fans for professing his love for rivals AC, Balotelli may well leave the San Siro with Eastlands or Old Trafford the likeliest destinations.

The striker was signed on a 3-year deal which is the longest contract a youth team player can have in Italy. Balotelli made his first team debut for Inter in December 2007 as a last minute substitute. However, just 3 days later he scored 2 goals on his full debut in the Coppa Italia. His league record for the club is 20 goals in 59 league appearances but he has only started 35 matches. The youngster has now won three Serie A title medals.. Last season Balotelli played 26 times in Serie A for Jose Mourinho and scored 9 times (13 starts).

He’s continually being linked to a move to the Premier League with Chelsea also previously showing an interest. His record for one of the biggest clubs in the world makes him a huge target for Manchester United where Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to strengthen his front line. The fact that Balotelli has a reputation for being outspoken will not bother the Scot who likes to work with characters if their ability backs it up, which the Italian’s certainly does. Roberto Mancini has worked with the youngster firsthand and is keen to bring him to Eastlands as Man City continue to spend.

Despite his tender years the striker had openly spoken of his disappointment of not playing more games and his desire to leave the club which angered former coach Mourinho. This is not the sort of attitude that Rafael Benitez will want so it is no wonder Balotelli is on the market. The sale will fund a move for Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano with Manchester City in the driving seat in terms of finances but Manchester United reportedly is the player’s preferred choice if they can afford his fee. A combination of Wayne Rooney and Balotelli would take some stopping as both are young, powerful and skilful. Alternatively, he would provide great competition for Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez at Eastlands.

The starlet has stated his ambition to play for Italy and has rejected the overtures from Ghana’s national team. Due to the fact his adoption was never finalised as a child he was not able to gain Italian citizenship for a number of years which meant he missed out on playing for the Italians at youth level. However, he soon was called into Pierluigi Casiraghi’s U21 squad and scored twice in their 3-1 Euro qualifying win over Israel to seal their qualification to the finals in Sweden last summer. However, he has yet to break into the senior side despite their poor showing in South Africa. A high profile move where Balotelli would play more first team football is likely to propel him into the national team so Manchester United is likely to be his preferred choice with less competition up front. Also the fact that the Red Devils are in the Champions League will surely appeal as the player looks to carve out a reputation for himself in his own right.

Italian on his Way to Manchester?Balotelli is already renowned as one of the most exciting young talents in European football and was tipped to act as a makeweight in the Italian side’s chase for Frank Lampard last summer. At 6 ft 2 and in the Micah Richards mould in terms of physique he would have the physical attributes to succeed in England. His future has been the subject of much speculation after he reportedly asked for assurances that he would be guaranteed first team football despite being 18 and playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world so he’s not low on confidence. To play for a club of Manchester United’s status, you have to have self-belief and Balotelli has that in abundance. He would not be overawed by having to compete with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov or alternatively Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor whatever price-tag he moves for.

It would seem that ‘Super Mario’ will be making a move to Manchester but whether it is to Eastlands or Old Trafford remains in question. The player’s agent Mino Raiola has quashed talk that a deal is almost finalised when he told tuttomercatoweb.com, “Today there will be no developments.”

“I don’t think the situation will be solved this evening. The (transfer) figures? No comment.”

Whether he goes to Manchester United or Manchester City, expect to hear a whole lot more about Mario Balotelli for many years.

I agree.. Both sites are clearly run by people that are browsing through forums such as ours to make up rumours.. Just today for example somebody posted ozil for 8 million which was a clear mistake as it was meant to be 20 less 8 i.e 12 and mins later united latest post the exact same story making the exact same mistake.. Coincidence? I think not..
