Quaresma established himself as a solid player in the Portuguese League while Balotelli has shown flashes of inconsistent talent in a superior league (with lots of baggage). That all looks like a load of overblown nonsense to me - no reason there why he can't sort himself out under the right manager.
He's already established himself to a greater degree than Quaresma so I'm not sure why you're convinced he'll become 'the next Quaresma'.
I'd argue Quaresma did better but should never have left Portugal, but Balotelli is in real danger of squandering all his talent and becoming a player whom few would touch. Maybe like Cassano - what could have been?
Mourinho is not the worst manager to work under anyway - he's worked with arrogant bastards like Drogba and Ibrahimović. He's worked with big personalities like Terry and Eto'o. Balotelli has been the one who has escaped Mourinho's abilities.
I don't know if he will be able to sort himself out even under a manager like Fergie, who is even stricter than Mourinho. Balotelli isn't going to become all docile and nice under Fergie immediately. Balotelli has worked under Mancini and Mourinho but his attitude hasn't changed - and it's not like either manager is a poor man-manager (look at the team ethos of both managers).
