Mario Balotelli

That all looks like a load of overblown nonsense to me - no reason there why he can't sort himself out under the right manager.

He's already established himself to a greater degree than Quaresma so I'm not sure why you're convinced he'll become 'the next Quaresma'.
Quaresma established himself as a solid player in the Portuguese League while Balotelli has shown flashes of inconsistent talent in a superior league (with lots of baggage).

I'd argue Quaresma did better but should never have left Portugal, but Balotelli is in real danger of squandering all his talent and becoming a player whom few would touch. Maybe like Cassano - what could have been?

Mourinho is not the worst manager to work under anyway - he's worked with arrogant bastards like Drogba and Ibrahimović. He's worked with big personalities like Terry and Eto'o. Balotelli has been the one who has escaped Mourinho's abilities.

I don't know if he will be able to sort himself out even under a manager like Fergie, who is even stricter than Mourinho. Balotelli isn't going to become all docile and nice under Fergie immediately. Balotelli has worked under Mancini and Mourinho but his attitude hasn't changed - and it's not like either manager is a poor man-manager (look at the team ethos of both managers).

I'd say it's most likely a bit easier for millionaires of any age to raise children. They can afford the nanny, caretakers, clothing, food, etc. Medicine and other high costs don't hit the family budget as hard. So when a teenager footballer earning six figures or more per annum has a child, it's not the same as the average teenager in your neighborhood experiences.

Most probably the 32.5 million sterling figure originated from the reported 40 m euros, Moratti was reportedly asking for the player.
Anyway i cannot see fergie spending so much on an unproven talent, unless fergie is convinced that he can transform balotelli into one of the world's top players.

Unproven? The kid has 59 Serie A appearances (with 20 goals) and another 27 cup appearances (8 goals). He also creates goals for teammates.

Ronaldo was unproven when SAF signed him. Balotelli is not. Still a bit raw but light years ahead at his current age than Ronaldo was. Temperment perhaps not so much.

He's proven compared to Ronaldo when we signed him but he's still unproven compared to someone like Villa. I don't think anyone intended to belittle his achievements by using the word 'unproven', it's just that he's still very young and still very raw, so obviously it's a higher risk than signing someone who's been delivering for five or six years.

Like Berbatov? Hargreaves? Those players were proven veterans.

Any signing poses a potential risk for multiple reasons.

Dalla Spagna, il Manchester United vuole Ibrahimovic (11:00 del 14 luglio) | Mercato | Calciomercato.com

United are interested in Ibrahimovic. This news where given directly by Barcelona to a newspaper close to the club (sport). Ibra is not in Guardiola's plan and is willing to sell him for 35m euros. Milan wants him on loan with the right to buy him back at the end of the season. United is willing to get him now. Stating that Ibra remains the plan B if the Balotelli's deal doesn't occur.

Ibrahimovic and Berbatov

barca want to offload ibra but they wont do at less than half the price, they bought him a year ago.

How is someone who has played 59 times for Inter Milan (scoring 20 goals) unproven? How do you know we 'certainly haven't lined up a deal'? Are you the first person SAF calls to tell his plans?

We didn't bid for Villa, I suspect, as he's not interested in moving to the PL.

Why is it you decide to latch on to certain posters?

I have a feeling Lailani would disagree. Her being one of a few, I'd wager.

Can you see why you'd be perceived as someone who does so?

Federico Macheda helps Manchester United boss Fergie in bid to cut Mario Balotelli deal

Federico Macheda has reportedly been helping Manchester United's pursuit of Mario Balotelli by begging the Inter Milan forward to snub Eastlands for Old Trafford.

Both City and United have shown interest in the troublesome striker, with Roberto Mancini's side in a stronger position to meet Inter's hefty £30million asking price.

But Sir Alex Ferguson has a different weapon. Former Lazio striker Macheda has been bombarding his Italy Under 21 team-mate with text messages and phone calls extolling the merits of United, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has already signalled his intention to speak to both Manchester clubs and is said to have spoken to intermediaries about United's interest on Monday.

At his age he is as proven as he can be. You won't find many 19 yr old strikers with over 80 top league caps around.

More muppets dying - this is happening almost daily. Dodgy website start transfer rumours. Muppets latch onto it and no matter how unsuitable the player, or the statements SAF has made about probably not buying anyone, they start to convince themselves this player is the one for the team, and that we really need them. It's some form of transfer addiction or something. Forget who it is...we need signings.

If we do sign him will be the biggest hypocrits in football... in terms of all this 'value' talk. But like with most signs and money... I don't care atleast the player will bring some excitement to our summer activities or lack of.

What I find amusing are people like you, who think they're somehow superior to the 'muppets', yet you most likely sit on the forum all night refreshing the page so you can get a dig in immediately (4 mins in this case) after a rumour is posted, like you somehow 'win' for doing so.

"Priceless"

That doesn't sound so promising. And if City are interested, the whole thing becomes pointless.

'Priceless' is just a way to attract both interest and let clubs who might potentially buy, that Inter value their asset very highly.

That said, I refuse to believe in transfer rumours. I wouldn't mind if this came true as I do rate Balotelli as an excellent talent, but there's no point in arguing pver something that will or won't happen, without any of us actually knowing. At no point will we be anymore in the know, then we are now, until United or Inter say something concrete.

I will wait until we confirm or deny, until I say we will never get him, or we are definitely getting him.

Point is from the quotes, if there is one, is that Inter either really don't want to sell, or want an auction, i.e. they want a truly MASSIVE amount of money from the MASSIVES.

Fine, let them spend it.

Why are you laughing... and at who?

This translates to:

The Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, issued some 24 statements to Sky Sports in the new Nike: "It 's normal that there are some changes. Mourinho has helped us to win and hope that Benitez could do the same. Mascherano? do not mean who is not, it seems to me a lack of respect for my teammates. On September 1 we'll see who will come and then all together we will do our best for the team. Balotelli? Inter before each name is We hope to win for the company. We are all useful but nobody is

Clear as shit stained knickers.

F.C. Internazionale Milano

Ill translate the official statement

Milan - While presenting the new Inter shirts, Inter's director Marco Branca has allowed some time to the journalists to answer some questions regarding the club transfer strategies.

"Having won alot, we are in a privileged situation where many clubs contact us regarding our players. Maicon and Balotelli? They where never on the transfer list. When and if they (clubs) will bid for them then we will examine the bid. Stating that they are not in the transfer list. What's the price of Balotelli? He is priceless. BTW we are already thinking about the future. We had signed Coutinho (attacking midfielder/forward) who is a technically gifted young player. We will give him time to grow without making him any pressure. Then we had brought Bianbiany back (another striker) and Mariga should return to his best. These are three investments and we are not including in that list Faraone and Castellazzi. Do we have problems with Roma because of Burdisso? They know our number and they can contact us"

-----------

Inter where presenting their new shirts to the fans. Now Branca is not the wisest person on earth but I doubt that it makes financial sense to say that their promising striker and their world class full back are on sale.

BTW Inter had brought Bianbiany back who is a 22 year old striker very similar to Balotelli. They now have 8 strikers in the team, 4 of which are experienced players (Milito, Etoo, Pandev, Suazo). Suazo may leave though.

He just said that Balotelli is not in the market (ie transfer listed) that's all. He also confirmed that our interest is true, something which was also confirmed by his agent.

Why curtains?

"When and if there are requests we will kindly examine them..."

Sounds promising if we're interested.

You guys have a point. Nobody wants to show hand yet.
