Mario Balotelli

Evolutionary speaking it's better (as a woman) to have a child at 18 than at 30. And who are you to judge how ready someone is based purely on their age? And what constitutes being 'ready to have a baby'?

I thought girls who have babies in their teens tend to have a higher chance of giving birth too early? Evolutionary speaking girls should be having sex and babies from 12/13, personally though I think they are miles too young!

Ready to have a baby for me is to have experienced a bit of life first, finished education, held down a job, had a stable income and a stable partner.

Bollocks.

I have friends who had babies at 18 and they are great parents now.

Footballers get plenty of free time so having a baby can be a great way for them to mature and in Federicos case it seems like he has a large close knit family around him. I see no reason why he can't be a great father.

Yeah, I'm not saying it means they will be bad parents, just that it's not ideal. Everyone raises an eyebrow when somebody has kids that young and there is a good reason for it! :)

If we're truly interested in Balotelli, I would think that Fergie would have researched his attitude well before initiating an approach to Inter. Therefore, if we do buy him, it would be on a belief that he could work out at United.

Yep, it's all irrelevant, it's not like Fergie's going to pick up a paper and go, hold on, that Balotelli kid I just brought apparently has a serious attitude problem, shit, I didn't plan for this!

£32,500,000, apparently.

Yep, virtually a done deal. Now this may sound crazy but I saw Balotelli shopping in Ikea(Ashton) today. He's probably already bought a house and is looking around Ikea for furnishings. And, oh I. . .he's got great taste.

Also not a coincidence that David Gill often buys his household furnishings from Ikea (Ashton) and as we know he's stayed behind in Manchester, so Balotelli has been informed of the stores great offers by Gill.

Yep, Gill loves to splash the cash on furnishings. He loves Ikea's flat-pack furniture as well. Now, check this out. . .I saw Balotelli buy a blow up penguin. For the kids perhaps or something more sinister?

Is this the type of player we want gracing OT?

Gill used to work in Ikea, furnishing rich football players houses, back in the day anyway. He made a mint from Gascoigne, who came in and brought the exact furniture as he did the week before. This continued for 40 weeks. From here, Gill was able to make his move into the business side of football, and the rest is history.

Why do you think Gill never comments on Gazza's deteriorating health? It's because he put him there by charging him week in week out for the same stuff.

£30m+ is a joke for Balotelli, more trouble than he's worth.

Really hope Macheda's not part of any deal - Macheda will be special, mark my words...

Exactly why i think we should give him a chance, & not limit those chances by spending £30m on Balotelli

Balotelli is going to end up like Gazza. It's obvious.

I'll take your judgement over Fergie's anyday!

To be fair, I see a lot more potential in Balotelli, then Macheda, and that's regardless of us signing him or selling anyone.

He's ridiculously talented. I can understand people having problems with his attitude and temperament, but not his potential and talent.

I think Balotelli is a poor signing, but that's what he is now - a Manchester United Player and whether he has a blow up penguin fetish is something SAF will have to work on. Hopefully he doesn't go AWOL on a package holiday to Antarctica.

Gill has no morals when it comes to selling players housing goods. Gazza famously revealed it all in his autobiography Being Gazza I have a little extract here:

"I'd go in Ikea, right, every week shoutin "Ikeoty Gazzzaaaaaa's here", with me pay-cheque and a bucket of chicken and I'd say, Wa-ay, I want a new dining table and chairs. I was that pissed like I'd come 'ome after playing for the castle on a saturday and find that in every room I'd have a full Ikea Dining Suite but nothing else. On the plus side, I could never forget where the dining room was when I was kalied on tha ale. Mr Gill never stopped me buying dining suites, he's a right cnut. I slept on dining room tables for three years of me life.

I think this Barotelli could be the next black Pele.

All he needs is a little fine tuning.

As for the attitude thing I heard the same thing about Cantona, Keane and Rooney.

If Fergie had listened to numpties back then goodness knows where we'd be.

That said, a couple of City fans were after his autograph. For some reason they thought he was Micah Richards putting on an Italian accent. . .and failing miserably.

Idiots.

Was the first player that came to my mind when he played against us in the Champions League

Micah Richards prefers Warrington Ikea, a city fan has just confirmed for me.

At 18:10 GMT.

What are you basing this on? Do you think 19 year olds are incapable of maturing and growing out of bad habits?

Balotelli takes the cuntishness to a whole new level. We know Fergie works miracles but I simply think this one is a level too far.

He has Rooney's temperament in his younger days, a stinking attitude on and off the pitch and the work rate of Berbatov on holiday. He falls out with people constantly and sulks when benched or dropped. Due to his volatile nature he'll be targeted on the pitch and whenever that happens he usually retaliates. He's a liability pure and simple.

Yeah I know he's talented but to me this all smells of Quaresma as a youngster, with a much worse attitude to start off with.

I'll take your judgement over Fergie's anyday!

Rather than you just repeating this rubbish again I was actually hoping you might provide some evidence?

To be fair I'd be a cnut too if my own supporters threw banana skins at me and made monkey chants.

Most probably the 32.5 million sterling figure originated from the reported 40 m euros, Moratti was reportedly asking for the player.
Anyway i cannot see fergie spending so much on an unproven talent, unless fergie is convinced that he can transform balotelli into one of the world's top players.

On top of that your own boss talks negatively about you to the press, thus turning your own fans against you! Balotelli's behaviour under Mourinho reflects worse on Jose than it is does on Balotelli for me, he wasn't as bad under Mancini for starters.

 It's all over the place. You saw the furore after his idiotic performance against Chelsea, where he proceeded to do the opposite of what was required in a "close out the game" performance. He was dropped by Mourinho multiple times - for the shirt-throwing at Barcelona and for training poorly 2 seasons ago.

He attracts controversy like a fly to food - he went down clutching his face after Felipe Melo elbowed him in the chest, and the fracas around the Coppa Italia match where Roma players targeted him from the start and it nearly paid off as Balotelli was ready to retaliate (Mourinho subbed him off after subbing him on). And of course him showing up with a Milan shirt on television.

While he was still young and developing, reports suggested he had handed in a transfer request at the start of the 2008 season because he wasn't playing much. Couldn't find the link itself but was reported on various Inter forums: "Super" Mario Balotelli

In fact, read on from that page onwards: "Super" Mario Balotelli

Half the goal.com links I find are broken (and obviously I can't search Italian websites), but here's a snippet:

Balotelli: I Feel Nothing For Inter - Goal.com

2009:

Balotelli speaks too much rubbish to the press, he snubs the advice and wisdom of others, and his approach and application in training has long been criticised by Jose Mourinho. Back in November, the 'Special One' stated: "If Balotelli trained at just 50 percent then he would be one of the best in the world.

"However, he doesn't even train at 25 percent.”

"[Mario] Balotelli? His performance tonight was close to a zero. He had little movement and did little work for the team. He could have done a whole lot more." 'The Special One', Jose Mourinho, doesn't make much of SuperMario Balotelli's performance against Roma.

Balo: 'I'm right, I won't apologise'
Tuesday 30 March, 2010
Mario Balotelli called up live television to explain why “I am right and will not apologise” to Jose Mourinho.

The striker has been dropped from the last five games and is also out of the squad for Inter’s Champions League quarter-final against CSKA Moscow.

Kind of getting tired of looking for links, but here's a summary: "Super" Mario Balotelli

Balotelli digusts more and more each day and I feel Inter Inter is right in every way shape or form. Balotelli is a player not an age. On the pitch the opposing players tackle a player not an age. A player scores a goal not an age. If Balotelli spends his money on fast cars then we can use his age as an excuse. When he sports the stupidest hair styles ever then we can use his age as an excuse. If he decides to dribble instead of pass that can be as a result of his inexperience and age. Other than that there is simply no excuse for any of the shit Balotelli does which includes but is not limited to:
- Demand a huge contract for the club after doing almost nothing
- Not give a shit in training
- Get sent off in a crucial UCL game
- Diving
- Not celebrating goals
- Being a Stupid Prick
- Being at the Milan game
- Walking on the pitch whilst everyone on the team is working their ass off to win the game
- Arguing with Eto'o for a penalty
- Publicly stating how he gets mad at his team mates.
- That whole contact lens fiasco.

There's so much more shit this guy has done, which doesn't come to mind right now, but all of the things I mentioned have nothing to do with him being 19. It deals with him being him. An arrogant prick. Why must there be a need to constantly find excuses for this guy? First there was the racism shit, WTF?! This guy is not the only black guy in Italy but for some reason is probably the most hated guy(white or black) in Serie A. Now his age is the excuse. Had he done this last year whilst he was 18 and done this shit and improved on at least ONE of those things we would at least say he was improving but ever since this guy made his debut for us up until now this guy has gotten worse and is showing no signs of improving. Day by day, week after week, month Balotelli is getting worse doing stupider and stupider shit.

He is much more problematic than any other player Fergie has ever handled. You can expect tons of agent talk about whining in the press with Balotelli around.

I wouldn't mind signing him but not for the price bandied around - simply because there's only a tiny chance he'll pull his head out of his ass and become a good player, but overwhelmingly he'll become the next Quaresma.

I do think Macheda has less talent than Balotelli but Macheda has his head on planet Earth even if he himself is cocky - which is why I'd prefer Macheda to Balotelli.

That all looks like a load of overblown nonsense to me - no reason there why he can't sort himself out under the right manager.

He's already established himself to a greater degree than Quaresma so I'm not sure why you're convinced he'll become 'the next Quaresma'.

Another young arrival could be Inter Milan's Mario Balotelli, 19. United have made a £28million offer for the striker and hope to have him by the weekend.

Custis is a proper idiot. First, we won't bid 28 million pounds for an unproven player, as good as he might be. We didn't even put in a bid for David Villa who's a proven and world-class striker. Second, we certainly haven't already lined up a deal, so talks of signing Balottel by the weekend are pure rubbish.

How is someone who has played 59 times for Inter Milan (scoring 20 goals) unproven? How do you know we 'certainly haven't lined up a deal'? Are you the first person SAF calls to tell his plans?

We didn't bid for Villa, I suspect, as he's not interested in moving to the PL.
