Mario Balotelli

you people will never know the truth!!! :) No but if we are interested I reckon they'll ask for Kiko. Sadly my italian isn't so hot :D but using kiko to convince Mario maybe happening - but what'd be in it for kiko? Another striker to be behind..somethings a foot. Just a feeling

Well for starters yes Balotelli would be another striker although I have a feeling that they play very different roles.. I think Balotelli will be used more often from the wider positions rather than centrally.. Also having another Italian speaking player in the squad will help both parties.. Macheda may well benefit from this Transfer.. As IMO if we sign Balotelli it will surely mean its the end for one or two of the below:

Owen - Sold (was always going to be a stop-gap signing)
Berbatov - Sold (probably safer than Owen though as his resale value wont be much)
Welbeck - Loaned (its a known fact that he needs another loan after his last one was cut short by an injury)
Diouf - Loaned (there have been rumours off late anyway)

The only ones safe are Rooney and Hernandez also I would think Macheda would be next in line.. Also didn't his agent just last week say that Macheda is non-transferable in this transfer window?

Any day now SAF is going to say in a press conference that he has no intention of signing Balotelli and he's happy with the current squad.

There will be a mass suicide on this thread.

IF we were to buy Balotelli (quite sure we won't), we shouldn't play him wide IMO. He's a striker. It would be the same shitness that we did with Rooney.

This kid could become the new C. Ronaldo. Raw talent, shit loads of skill. Good on the wing and upfront.

Has a lethal freekick too.

Or they'll just move on to the next transfer.

I think with his pace and dribbling ability he would be more creative from the wings.. Also he does most of his work from the wide positions anyway.. I wouldn't hesitate to put him on either wing in a 4-3-3.. Obviously he would play centrally in a 4-4-2 though.. I was just saying from the wide because we tend to swap between a 433 and 442 quite often..

Well that's wonderful.

Sigh all you want. He has the makings to be great, really great. Under SAF we could have another BPITW in a few years.

Would you like him or you taking the piss? I don't think Sir Alex is going to say anything. If the rumor continues they might press him once he gets back from america but it wouldn't suprise me if there was interest there

Pictured smoking. He already has a child. The moaning at players in reserves - the reason I am banned from the reserve forum. I dislike him.

What's wrong with him having a child? It's not as if he can't afford to look after it. Seems somewhat judgmental...

And why was him moaning at players a reason to get you banned from the reserve forum?

Macheda had a chance and should have squared it to King. Macheda missed. And then I think King said something like, 'I was free' and Macheda told him to F off. I just got the feeling that Macheda was already thinking he was a star. I also don't think he is good enough a player.

I wished on him not to make it here. That is why I got banned.

Smoking, moaning and having sex before marriage, that surely makes him at par with Hitler and Stalin.

Jesus.

Why are you bothered by his private life? It's not like he's taking drugs or regularly visitng the hookers.

As for him being not good enough a player, FFS, he's only 19.

He does seem like a bit of a cock.

But then, he's a young footballer. No surprise really.

On the pitch, he's shown a lot of promise.

It is a bad decision at 18.

is the kid English? It could breed a loyalty to this country? Is it a bad thing? Also you don't always plan when you have a kid - sometimes the decision is to adopt it or to have an abortion. The fact he kept the kids ok by me.

As for telling King to feck off, in the heat of the moment it can happen but as a striker it's very hard to have a go at someone wanting to score goals. King is a wonderful player in his own right and certainly don't need kikos help to get them

According to this we did met Balotelli's agent but it was regarding his other client....

Manchester City have been playing second fiddle to their city rivals for years in terms of success, but one thing the mega-rich, blue half of Manchester thought they could now boast was a clear upper hand in the transfer market.

However, according to the Spanish Sport newspaper, Manchester United are looking to snatch Barcelona forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic from right under the noses of Manchester City .

The paper says that Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, went to Manchester a few days ago to talk to Manchester City about the future of one of his other clients, Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli. But during his stay, Raiola reportedly took the opportunity to talk with Manchester United representatives over the possible signing of Ibrahimovic.

Manchester City were thought to be the front-runners to sign the Swede and are apparently set to offer Barcelona €20 million plus Brazilian forward Robinho to secure his services.

But Ibrahimovic is said to now also be weighing up the option of a move to Old Trafford, and Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has welcomed the signing of the 28-year-old.
On paper, Ibrahimovic enjoyed a good first season in Spain, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances for Barcelona since his high profile move from Inter Milan last summer. However, his performances have been criticised by the notoriously harsh Spanish media, and his Barcelona days appear to be numbered.

Please dont be true :(

Can't see how that could be true - no one in there right minds would Ibra while already having Berba...

Can you imagine a front two of Ibra and Berba? That'd be amazing, we'd have the most laissez faire strikeforce in the history of football, every game would produce at least two jaw dropping pieces of skill, followed by a lot of sighing, sulking and occasionally a forward breaking into a slow amble

This thread has gone downhill from Granny chatting over Macheda's honking to Ibra being in the frame to form the world's slowest strikeforce with Berbatov.

No doubt he will be a superstar, he is probably better than Ronaldo was at 19 too.
Exactly. Balotelli looks better now than Ronaldo did one year after we signed him.

Would you like him or you taking the piss? I don't think Sir Alex is going to say anything. If the rumor continues they might press him once he gets back from america but it wouldn't suprise me if there was interest there
No, I definately like him as a player, I'm not interested in his attitude.

We aren't going to sign Balotelli.

There's just far too much media interest in this, which suggests that there's no smoke without fire. His agent's even come out and confirmed our interest and offer. David Gill staying behind in manchester and reports of our representatives meeting Ballotelli's (if true) means we most probably want to do a deal. I'd be gutted if we signed him. He won't develop half as well as people are predicting, WPOTW? Don't make me laugh.
