A modern day Nedved my arse. Thats a serious insult to Nedved.

A proper world class player. Hamsik isnt imo.

Nowhere near in the same league, Nedved's dribbling alone was in a different league.

He's a very polarizing player, it's strange. I haven't seen more than 10 or so games of his total but he's never looked anything other than average, yet some people swear he's world class and would improve most teams. I don't get it.

I've never seen anything special either. I think gambit has a lot to answer for when it comes to overrating of this fella, though I'm not sure if he was ever as serious as he made out. Same with Ekeke and Banega.

Nedved at his best was unplayable, such an intelligent player with amazing skills.

He's got a contract to 2018 according to google.

Not what we need and perhaps the most overrated player in the last few years. I'd rather get Cabaye

For Gambit. Show must go on.

 It wouldn't be transfer season without him.
Manchester United turn to Marek Hamsik as David Moyes seeks to revamp midfield

MANCHESTER UNITED are considering a sensational move for Marek Hamsik in a bid to resolve their midfield woes.

Marek Hamsik is the latest name to come to Manchester United's attention [GETTY]
Although Pogba appears ready to reject a £40 million return to Old Trafford, United have grandiose plans to rebuild their squad.
According to reports in Italy, Hamsik has been identified by Moyes as a viable option.

It is thought Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to listen to offers for Hamsik.

Shit hair, we'll have to deal with Benitez. Not on.

I don't watch Serie A. Can this dude thread through balls and create chances through the middle?

If so, bring him in.

He can but he plays more of the Kagawa positions basically. He wouldn't improve us because he wouldn't get games in the position where he's good in, not to mention that he goes hiding quite a bit. He's not a central midfielder so would be quite a pointless signing, not to mention expensive.

The papers are on a mission to link us with everyone we won't actually sign so they can roll out the "Another player turns down Moyes" headline a few days later, its totally transparent at this point.

I'm now waiting for a bid for Balotelli

I must be in the minority who's only ever seen Hamsik and never been particularly impressed by him.

Mindful, I don't watch him all that often....but I've still seen him 20+ times over the past 2-3 seasons.

Maybe I just catch him on bad days.

He's better than Kagawa from wide positions, him and Mata playing on either side of Rooney in a 4231 would be an upgrade over our other options. You know, if we can't get Reus.

buy a CM to play him wide? feck yeah!! he won't be cheap! double feck yeah!!

Barcelona needs to replace/upgrade their midfield... they need money. 35M-40M for Alexis and then we are talking.

PS. i never liked Hamsik... found him overrated. I watched him in some important games and he didn't showed up. But in their Europa League game, he came on in the second half and change the game (It was just Swansea...), and make me win some money. So i can say i like him a little bit more, but not enough to think he is the solution to our problems.

I'd rather sign someone else, but from my limited viewing of Hamsik I think he could be effective for us in a deeper role than what he plays now. He could add an offensive threat that most of our current midfielders don't have or haven't shown to date. If we feel comfortable putting Rooney in midfield, I don't see the issue of trying it with Hamsik. Like I said, I'd rather sign someone else as there's no guarantees he will be good in a midfield 2 like Anderson.

Also, I'm extremely suspect of signing players from Serie A. We've seen players like Lamela and Ramirez look like a sure thing to become top players and they've come to Premier League and looked very average. Then on the flip side of that you've had players like Taarabt go to AC Milan and look like 2010 Nani.

Hamsik has certainly shown the can produce goals and assists from wide positions, which is something we desperately need if we're to compete at the top level. Of course that is assuming Moyes gives up on this manic crossing, no point having a player like Hamsik, David Silva or Juan Mata out wide if all they do is cross.
