Emery is the one who requested it seems

Whoever gets Rashford may well have a less complacent player. He has a big point to prove now.

Maybe, but we'll see, Emery is the least chill coach and you can see it from his antics in the touchline and how animated he gets, he'll be frothing if he sees Rashy jogging

Realistically probably the best deal we could achieve with him in this window. Hopefully it goes well and makes a permanent deal easier for the summer.

Interested to see what the option is set at. Very happy with him gone and a big portion of wages being covered by Villa.

For his sake he’d better put his head down and work because right now Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey are well ahead of him. He’s 27 and wasting what should be his best years.

Great news if this goes through. Would love to see Tel come in to replace. No matter what people say about ineos - and they're obviously far from perfect - they're doing a good job of gradually removing the problematic elements of this squad sensibly, and so far replacing well I think.

Most of wages covered, plus bonuses (guessing bonuses depend on the goals he scores and where Villa finish in the PL and CL), plus a buy option (hopefully > £50m).

Good deal, considering the circumstances.

Hopefully does well so they actually trigger the option, that would be amazing for us in the summer.

Thank you Villa and thank you Unai, celebrations this ebening?

Wonder if any team news or news in general suddenly starts to leak from Villa? Though it's Villa, so nobody cares. However, thanks for taking him.

Watch Villa slide down the table after he infects their dressing room and younger players.

Good luck to him, hope he smashes it at Villa and either we get a nice big fee on the back of it or he gets his love of the game and United back and he smashes it here next season.

I suspect his United career is over but will be interested to see how this pans out at Villa.

Hope he does well. Seems it’s needed because something in him has not been right for a while now.

Gonna be weird seeing him in another team’s kit.

Appeal of champions league  Absolutely shameless is Rashy.
it's an absolutely insane string of events.

- he plays shite for two seasons, still gets to play every week
- new manager comes in
- new manager drops him due to poor training
- instead of putting the work in, he talks about being "ready for a new challenge" a day or two later
- manager repeatedly calls out his work ethic, he still doesn't put the work in
- gets to join a club in the CL because that appeals to him

Good for him, I guess ... and I hope he does well there so we can actually sell him in the summer. But I honestly don't even care too much about the fee, just get him out of this club ... exactly the kind of player you don't want around if you're trying to rebuild, especially on those wages. Reminds me a bit of Aubameyang at Arsenal. Sometimes you just have to rip the band-aid off.
