No mate, nobody in contract can be forced to sign for someone else. That situation doesn't exist post Bosman. A player might conceivably demand his contract paid in exchange for leaving the club but that's far from the norm.

A club can only sell a player if said player agrees to all the terms, whether or not he asked for a transfer is irrrelevant, existing contracts are not automatically paid out

A player is only entitled to be paid for the period of the contract they are at the club. Also for your information the laws around this do not differ in any country in Europe
You are confusing a transfer with a situation where the player is refusing to leave (mainly because they are being forced out) and the club may come to some mutual agreement to either terminate the contract or pay them an incentive to accept the move.
Once you transfer and sign a contract with a new club your previous contract is terminated on said date and you are owed no monies beyond what was contractually obligated on said date (which includes any loyalty bonuses etc) maybe this is what you are referring to?

Yep, I was wrong, it's been cleared up earlier. The outcome seems that Rashford has to agree to leave if the club sell him so he may want any difference in salary made up.

He is signed by the old and not up to spec for the new order of things. If he stays for £ just to jog while United scramble to rebuild, resentment toward him will grow massive and rapidly erode much of the goodwill and likability he built. Not sure he realizes this fully?
More than likely, or at least a proportion of it, pretty much any other player would do the same - the real issue is that he was given a contract like in the first place
Unfortunately he'll probably be one of those players who at 40 is potless, the hangers on will be long gone, and he'll be wishing he'd not thrown it all away in his mid 20s.
It's impossible to be in his head, and we'd all factored in possible family issues, like we did the back issues he played through gallantly for ages.
But unfortunately the truth seems to be he's just given up on putting effort in and thinks he's too big for it.
