A player is only entitled to be paid for the period of the contract they are at the club. Also for your information the laws around this do not differ in any country in Europe
You are confusing a transfer with a situation where the player is refusing to leave (mainly because they are being forced out) and the club may come to some mutual agreement to either terminate the contract or pay them an incentive to accept the move.
Once you transfer and sign a contract with a new club your previous contract is terminated on said date and you are owed no monies beyond what was contractually obligated on said date (which includes any loyalty bonuses etc) maybe this is what you are referring to?
