Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

A lone fan or the general feeling towards him now?

I don't know exactly what is going on with this interview and what he means exactly, but if he's trying to leave and Amorim wants him.... then yeah, bye

But let's see what happens

Situation feels like a relationship in Middleschool... Rashford is breaking up with us before we can break up with him.

Tells you all about the mentality of the player when he doesn't want to fight for his place in the team and catches some scrutiny.

Jumping before he can be pushed, or at least making it look like that I’d say.

The arguable golden boy/biggest star of the football club being deemed surplus to requirement isn’t a good look, so you say you want a new challenge to save face.

So it wasn’t an illness and it appears he was dropped again? Doesn’t look like he has any interest in being professional.

I reckon that Mclaren incident in training should have told us all we needed to know about his mentality. Really can't believe all this fuss of such an average player. Speaks to his PR, I suppose. Fights all his battles in the press rather than on the pitch.

So tired about how much media is on this. If Rashford 's performances on the pitch were half as good as his PR and media skills he'd be on the podium for the Ballon d'Or

I was looking at the arrow wondering what I should be seeing!

What's this incident?

He’d be in the championship. His PR is embarrassing, the only reason he’d be championship and not non-league is because they work their fecking socks off.

So Garnacho listened and got back in the squad, Rashford apparently knows better and is still sidelined. Sums him up. He should have been working his socks off in training and forcing his way back into the team.

There have been a few players that signify our malaise and until we clear them out you can't believe we are serious about turning the club around. Rashford is one of them, maybe the only one left.

Did he really post a picture on Twitter asking " any good films to watch ? " just before kick off whilst he was home ?

Hopefully this gets concluded in January so that the circus around this is over.

What was the incident you’re referring to?

Rashford's got 2 options here.

He either works hard, gets back in the team and wins over a segment of the fans (he won't win over all because a) doesnt fit the narrative and b) racism), enjoys his football again and does a u turn and stays

Or, he works hard, gets back into the team, raises his profile to the point where other clubs are interested and he's offski.

Both of those options have a common theme. Works hard, gets back into the team. If nobody wants him in this current form, he's a bit stuck. If he does want a new challenge, how much does he want it?

Narrative and racism, really?

Yeah because if he gets back to scoring goals and applying himself more, the fans will still dislike him. There's history of that for many of our former players. It's completely logical and makes total sense.

I’m not sure if this is irony or not.

I don’t think this is what they were referring to but I searched it and found a story I’d never seen before though it seems to directly quote McLaren. No idea if legit but spot on criticism of what happens in games.

thats not it. It was last year in some random training session where Mclaren said something like Marcus will score the winner, trying to big him up. Rashford threw a hissy fit saying dont put that pressure on me etc which left Mclaren speechless

Tbf, Shteve kept pronouncing it ‘wiener’ and Marcus just found it weird.

Wonder if we can do a deal with Napoli for Kvara plus cash. I know swap deals are really rare but Italian clubs are the most likely to do it. Also Conte love his washed United players and they do tend to do well in Italy

Sounds like the bizarre player interactions on Football Manager might be accurate after all.

‘You’ve trained well Marcus!’

‘…I’m not happy with how this went.’

 maybe the FM developers were right all along.

Sancho backing him up on twitter, no wonder he's being stubborn and prefers to leave instead of changing him life style. I don't think he really gives a shit anymore about united.

Sancho the gift that keeps on giving.... wish he would just feck off already, absolute bellend, I don't care if we gave him to Chelsea and he turns into world player of the year, just want him and anything to do with him as far away from us as possible
