Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

Don’t see Rashford agreeing to a move to Saudi. I still think he wants to prove something and he will not agree to early retirement.
If he wanted to prove something, he shouldve done it in the united shirt.

He and his pr team will more than welcome the huge wages, and pressure-less environment in Saudi. They will enjoy the warmth and nightlife there.

Is he mates with Kane..? Asking for a worried Bayern supporter...
Yes. According to phil brown, trouble started brewing when united failed to secure kane

"Was told Utd were signing Kane and he could have made a significant amount of more money had he accepted one of the offers from one of Utd’s domestic rivals, he chose to stay at the club he loved. At the start of last season he was then told he had to play in a deeper role on the left, partly due to Utd’s left back issue."the

Is there an realistic club he could move to in Spain though?

Real don’t need another left forward. Barca literally can’t afford to register any players. And I don’t imagine Marcus has the work ethic for Atletico.
Yeah I don't see it either. Even if he did have the work ethic for Atletico, they spent big money on Alvarez in the summer, signed some other striker in the and they also have an experienced Griezmann available. That said, things can change and they could go for him in the summer, though it doesn't seem like a good match.

I don't see him having any intention of going to Sauid. A compromise will be probably need to made by a combination of Rashford and United in terms of the financials to make a move happen. Similar to Sancho, if wage demands and transfer fee are reasonable, he'll get a decent option in Europe.

He has limited options due to his wages plus transfer fee. Probably should be another topic how a lot of top players can only go to about 5 destinations these days.

If Newcastle sells Isak, maybe they'll go for Rashford

Why has nobody else stated how unusual this is?

Rashford has a contract and the club have a valuation for him. Another club has to meet that valuation and Rashford would have to be interested in that club before he can leave. There's a lot involved and there's good reason why most players keep their mouth shut until a transfer actually happens.

His playing style suits a.madrid and simeone perfectly like quick counter attack. But only negative is he will ask rashford to defend as a wide player. Can rashford put that effort for simeone

Why would they sell Isak and replace him with Rashford?

I agree it doesn't make sense, but Isak will want to move and if Arsenal push for him, I think he goes. Maybe Newcastle would want to make a statement signing.

I can't see where he really goes other than Saudi or one of the London clubs.

Rashford would be a statement signing?

Come on, how is this even rational.

Do you really think it helps if a player says he wants to move before you have sorted a deal. There is no bargain power left for the selling club as there is no real alternative.

It’s just pr talk to look like a nice guy

What exact statement would you think Newcastle would be trying to make by signing Rashford? "We're looking to destroy our club from the inside" ?

Rashford would be a statement signing?

Media wise yeah. I saw earlier than talksport have already released 19 videos about the rashford situation. He grabs headlines and is a big name even if his performances are way off a top player

I've felt for a while it's best for all parties if he moves on,his heart doesn't seem in it at Utd anymore, who will take him will be interesting to see, I'd say Chelsea might try their luck in January.

Newcastle have been pretty savvy in their signings, they’re not signing anyone just for media reasons.

His next challenge should be to make a successful tackle on the pitch. But since that ship has sailed perhaps a self imposed social media ban for a few months would be wise.

Only a certain portion of United fans have fell for that, because he's an academy player, born in Manchester. Outside of that bubble, he's really not a big name.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are in the same boat as me on this. It's been a real fun 24 hours listening to friends of other teams (mainly Arsenal and Chelsea) who have been saying how shit Rashford was and laughing at us for giving him the contract we did, flip flop to saying what a great player he is, how we scapegoated him, didn't protect him enough from abuse after his penalty miss at the Euro's and every excuse in the book now that they think they are signing him.

Oscar went, that lad from Lazio that was always touted to United, etc etc
Oscar went China. Loads of others did, but none of Rashford’s level of popularity and notoriety. I guess Ronaldo, Benzema and Mane but they’re all in their 30s.

It’s more than likely he is going to leave and I think he will take a wage cut to secure a move. Sadly it will be the last positive thing he does for us.

Would be some story if he managed to turn it around and fight for his place but it seems like he has already accepted that it’s over.

I disagree. He’s a huge name.

Huge as in? Take away the United jersey and prestige that comes with it, and he's really not a big name. We aren't the only ones who tune into our games either. Aside from a few purple patches nobody has feared him.

Well for example his situation at United made the main news (not sports) today as one of the headlines.

Is that because of him, or because United have built up his reputation far beyond its means? I'm not a fan of Carragher at all for obvious reasons but think he hit the nail the head when he said that we're all talking about Rashford too much.

Almost like people will take any opportunity to smack United down.

Or, even more likely in this case, people realize what a transformative move it would be to remove Rashford, he's been holding us back in many ways for years and people fear United fixing a major problem and working their way back into the conversation about league titles.
