some of you are forgetting he’s only playing for villa, so it’s actually quite beneath him to be running.

I don't think he's doing anything much differently to be honest.
It’s been a completely average performance outside of the offside goal. Villa running rampant down his side now whilst he ambles about.

Jota literally hit the bar 2 minutes before they scored, and he couldn’t give a shit about tracking back

That was the exact performance he was putting in for us. Except this time, every attempted dribble of his which resulted in no end product was described as "positive" by the commentators.

It's also taken him about three games to resort to the same laziness out of possession.

Rashford not tracking a runner is par for the course. Definition of luxury player without the luxury output.

Looks no different to when he played for us of late - the spark has gone.

Going to be a nightmare trying to get rid of him...

His spark was 2 months of good form in ETH's first season, maybe less. Before that I can't think of a sustained period of him looking like a player who should be on 250k a week wages.

Sadly, his symptoms of depression and injuries have suddenly returned in the second half. I was hoping he could outlast Sancho's run at Chelsea to at least give a good impression to his potential buyers.

If he won't recognise this for what it is, a great opportunity to reignite his career then he should just go and join Lingard in South Korea. Fans don't deserve this.

Checked the Villa Reddit and they're all giddy about him, and how Emery just needs to improve his decision making.

Hope they feel the same at the end of the season, not sure how they are going to afford his wages given the ratio of revenue they spend on wages already.

I can see him ending up at some random French or Italian club for about £20 million in the summer. And it will remain one of life’s great mystery’s what ever happened to this lad.

Delighted he's gone. His attitude was sinking the ship. We have a chance of turning into a proper hard working team again without him.

He wasn’t, this place is just a cesspit of negative posters who just love to wallow in their own bile.
I’m not wallowing in any bile but from what I saw he gave away the ball with a few careless passes and was hooked on 65 in a must win game.

He’s clearly playing better for Villa than he did for us, simply because Villa are a better team and he gets better possession. But to show so little commitment or at least awareness when your career’s nosediving and your team’s under pressure is shocking. Especially when you’re competing with someone like Ramsey who offers his own goal threat and dribbling, with much more energy and much better possession play. How none of that lights a fire under his belly is mad.

He's not going to be 19/20 or 22/23 Rashford I don't think, but he's far better than 21/22 or 23/24 Rashford. I think the 20/21 Rashford where he's inconsistent but productive is still the level he can reach and I think thats the average level he'll reach so long as he is happy and motivated, which I think he'll be there. So a productive wide forward who will have some very good performances and some very frustrating performances, but generally still a danger man that opposition defences have to guard against and keep on their toes.

He suits Villa as they're a team who will play on the counter often with direct and quick attacks, and they aren't expected to be competing for titles which suits him. He's never going to be productive or consistent enough to be a wide forward for a title challenging side, but he's shown many times he can turn a Europa league side into a top 4 finish side and that's the weight of expectation that suits him IMO.

About six seconds in, Rashford is nearer the Villa goal than Trent.

Few seconds later (because Trent has sprinted), Trent gets the ball in yards of space in midfield. Rashford semi running.

Few seconds later, Rashford has almost slowed to walking speed, Trent unmarked on the edge of the area. Goal.

Classic Rashford.
