Missing certain skill sets but has totally lost the drive and hunger that gave him any edge.

I honestly think this summer is our last shot to get rid and recoup anything close to a decent transfer fee.

Another season like this one, and the threat of off-field shit like the Belfast incident happening again, and there won't be a club in the world that is going to 1. pay good money for him 2. cover anywhere near what we're paying him

Unfortunately I think Ineos will give him yet another chance. If however they do sell him it's a strong message that they mean business.

Yeah I bet we keep him, and it's Pogba/Lingard all over again (obviously not the same contractual situations; instead an opportunity missed to cash in.)

The only way he'd leave this summer is if he tries to force his way out. Which wont happen. He clearly has fallen out of love with football and doesn't care that he's stagnating here, and that his international career is going up in smoke.

So there's no way he'll be battering down his agents door demanding they drum up tangible interest from elsewhere, like any ambitious player would.

I think moving on Marcus is the biggest statement of intent Ineos can make this summer. Given their success I would back them to make such a call. Whilst Marcus has played through injuries in the past, when he sat next to Ole and the manager had to apologise for suggesting Marcus wasn’t sufficiently focused on his football it was clear that he was now part of the excessive player power that has dogged United for the last decade. If he was at City, Liverpool or Madrid he would have been shown the door sometime ago. He could easily come good again in France or Germnay where there is more space to run into and enjoy a fresh start.

Neville is worried because he isn't playing with spirit or freedom and Rio implies he has the wrong people around him who are making him excuses and leading to no accountability. I mean if that's not enough of a freaking red flag nothing will be.

Is it just that he's not actually the level of player that everyone expects him to be? He has 409 apps for United, 136 goals and 71 assists. So basically a goal involvement every 1 in 2.

That is really good for a winger, I don't think there's many who would say that we need to get rid of that player 'on paper'.

The attitude and application is a separate issue for him, and something that rightly comes under criticism. I don't think I can really put into words what I am trying to say.

Rashford has moments that literally take your breath away, and he has moments where he looks about as interested in being involved in the game as he does in going home and watching paint dry. Is that just the player he is? I can't put my finger on him.

When you think about it, it is odd for a pundit to just insinuate you are suffering from mental health problems...to just throw it out there, just so you can clip it up and post it all over the sky sports socials.

The world today makes everything into a huge story, the last thing G.Nev should be doing it creating more ffs.

Still can't believe his transformation from the enthusiastic dynamic and driven player that he was to the pampered, thin-skinned lazy primadonna that we have on our hands now.

"So called concerns"

Honestly, Rashfords brothers are at least partly responsible for his up and down performances, and lack of development. The fanbase have had concerns for years. This ain't new or something they can brush aside by going after the pundits.

Rio was spot on. Who is holding him accountable outside of the club? His family/agent are constantly trying cover for him or deflect. Is he surrounding himself with good people? His best mates were Lingard and Sancho.

It is odd because we all know Jose would fall out with anyone (Pogba, Shaw, Martial) but I never heard a bad word from Jose about Rashford. It was the 20-21 season where we all started wondering what was up with Rashford. He got a lot of goals that season but his overall play was always patchy and everyone kept thinking he must be injured. Had a terrible season the year after, an amazing season last year and another bad one this year.

Hope he gets back on track again tonight.

He should be used as an example for years to come of why it's important to keep young player's feet on the ground, or else it will have a corosive effect. I don't think it is a huge mystery what's happened. It's staring people in the face but because of the romance surrounding his upbrining within the club and maybe even his 'national treasure' status due to his charty work, people refuse to see it.

Talented youngster gets too much fame, too much notorioty, too much celebrtiy, too much praise before either he was ready for it or it was justified. Now he's well into the second half of his 20s, one of the most experienced players at the club and he walks around as if hard work is beneath him. He seems to fight battles on social media. He doesn't react well to criticism. And maybe as the post suggests - and as Carragher pointed out on the Overlap - maybe those surrounding him enable that self-pitying attitude where he does appear to think he's very hard done by if people notice he isn't that good any more.

People really need to stop making this more complicated than it is. It's sad. But, I've no doubt that's what has happened.

He puts in the same defensive shift as a messi or ronaldo with 1/3rd of their attacking talent.

We should be looking to get rid as soon as PSG come knocking

I’d feck him off this summer, the baggage far outweighs the luggage.

Chelsea 4:3 Man Utd
He's an absolutely awful football player at the moment. What is the point of him? He's meant to be one of our senior players too.

Local lad, loves the club etc. Admittedly not quite enough to even pretend to help his teammates defend a lead - but it's important not to forget he really loves the club and is also local.

Utter waster. Came on and walked through the game.

I honestly can’t remember a player I’ve disliked more. The lack of effort is an absolute disgrace, and the excuses that fans make for him are a joke.

If he isn’t sold in the summer then Ineos have learned feck all.

Came on and did absolutely nothing, we were playing with 10 man from that point on. No idea what is up with him but I feel it's time to part ways, like Rio said he isn't a kid anymore, he really has no excuses for performances like that.

Doddling round the place like he was kicking it around with his mates in the back garden or something. What the feck?
I'm sick of him and half this club, sick of it all

Love how commentary rightly pointed out Casemiros lack of pace/lack of movement in first half but absolutely ignored Rashfords pathetic efforts at closing down Chelsea players. Literally stood three times and watched Chelsea player jog passed him with the ball. He’s an absolute disgrace. If INEOS don’t get rid of him this summer I’ll be seriously questioning their ambition to do what they say they want to do.

Can’t stand him.
Dont care if he’s one of our own
When you se Garnacho busting his balls
He’s an ambarssment
Can’t wait for him to feck off

I’ll judge ineos (in this early stage) on what they do with him. It’s clear as day he’s an absolute bag of shit and should be moved on
