Has it ever stuck to him? He’s always been a bit of a kick and run player and when it doesn’t come off he looks out of his depth. Good instinctive finisher but he lacks so many other qualities to be a top top player.

That’s the thing it’s not one or two things he lacks…. it’s almost everything. I don’t understand why still people are convinced overnight, any day now, he’s definitely going to become a completely different footballer

We have too many “moments” players and not enough consistent ones, who you can rely on to put in solid 7 out of 10 performances every week even when they aren’t at their absolute best. Rashford can score 2 goals and put in a 4/10 then the next few games he’s even worse whilst chalking an assist and wasting every other attacking move.

Good assist. Really bad performance otherwise. He is still so hit and miss. I love Rashford. But I can see where his critics coming from.

It genuinely looks like he couldn't care less.

One of the bluffers I am afraid. And what I mean by that is that Team Rashford will be all over social media apologising and we go again and he is shite every time. I said it before and got ridiculed by a few on here, his best position is on the bench coming on last 20 mins against tired legs

Better on the right than the left. Was poor today but good assist.

Could be our next best option to play up front. Cavani and Ronaldo are spent - surely MR could offer more?
I think Lingard could do more out wide than him currently. What a statement that is!

Yep.

I think you might be right on that last sentence Sad but true unfortunately .

Scored twice coming off the bench against tired legs. Doesn't have the intelligence to play as a winger, shoots from ridiculous angles, doesn't know when to give it, doesn't track back and support the full back

Most annoying is the alternative to head down and run is now stop and boot the ball onto head of first defender in penalty box. It's odd as it seems like he's got great tools and occasionally will pick out inch perfect pass. Doesn't seem to get tired of giving the ball back to the opponent.

The intelligence as a winger can be developed. When to give and go etc. But tracking back and putting in a shift is mandatory Giggs did it as did Nani and Kanchelskis etc. I don't think he'll ever stop being selfish unfortunately.

Not sure he would. Doesn't work much harder and wouldn't be holding the ball up. Honestly think Lingard may be a better option up front too atm.

How he decided to stop tracking back for their equalizer was criminal.

Thought the reason we bought cavani in was due to him not being a natural striker

What's most depressing is he'll still be at this club in 3 years when any sort of smart management would shrewdly sell him this summer for a solid fee. When a fecking decent academy prospect gives us more both on the ball and off it you know it's time to sell the name value player while you still can.

Not sure if he can develop the intelligence side. He's worked under 4 managers maybe more and he hasn't improved and I would challenge anyone to say he has improved. Lost his way at utd, lost his place in the national team.

For the first time, I'm starting to consider selling him may be a good option.
He just isnt consistent enough.

He won't be sold, he is too good pr for the club

Priorities eh? I was of the opinion that he was going through an extended patch of bad form. Reasonable given the injuries he's had and the fact he played on with injuries. Now I'm wondering if he hasn't reached his ceiling and maybe a move away would be best.

Doesn't seem himself.

I'd play him through the middle as Ronaldo and Cavani as the CF is hamstringing us. Maybe give Elanga or Lingard a spot on the right for a few games and see how that goes.

What is Rashford feeling himself, what does it look like? He's been at this level for over two years now. It's his standard form now.

I think Ralf ignored him when he got subbed off which is a good sign that he wasn’t happy with his performance today.

Lets hope he returns back to the bench on Tuesday against Brighton.

The last two seasons were his best in terms of G&A. This season is the anomaly.

In his present form, he needs to be taken out of the team or come on for 10/15 minutes to use his pace. He's been lucky with Greenwood, Martial, and Cavani mostly missing. He's probably capable of playing well in a counter-attacking system which is not United's style at the moment.

We have to stop using goals or assists as singular points on which a player is judged. He's been fecking terrible ever since his back injury and running onto a few long balls and tucking them away doesn't change that. It's been a full year since that injury and we've done nothing but heard how he just needs to "get his form back" when in reality he's a player who largely relied on his physical attributes, and now that those attributes have been lessened he's being exposed for technically limited and lacking footballing IQ

Not really. They are both pretty crap at the moment

If you can't see the difference in play between the two I don't know what to tell you. Elanga is better simply because he can actually control and retain possession while actually tracking the feck back. I'm not saying he's fecking Mane on the wing, just that he offers much more than Rashford currently which isn't hard to do.

He's ridiculously frustrating. It's got to the point where I just expect him to do something daft when he gets the ball. Definitely shouldn't be starting games at the moment, even if we're not blessed with options.

In all honesty I don't see anything special in Elanga. But yeah Rahsford is absolutely terrible and has been for months now. Our options up front are a fecking joke

Considering the close bond he has with Sancho off the pitch it turns out that, unfortunately, footballing IQ isn't contagious. Braindead footballer.
