He's not THIS bad. Something seems wrong. Looks lost in games.
He’s been THIS bad since February or so. Maybe defenders have already figured out he is a one trick pony.

He's played most of those 26 games as striker. When Ole arrived Rashford was his CF. Then Lukaku came back from injuries and played some games as CF but he was mostly benched in favor of Rashford.
That's a very poor return for what he is paid. I know he plays on the wing mostly, but I don't see him assisting much either.
Yeah. Has to be carrying and injury. Just didn't seem to be moving today.
He never earned that contract nor that shirt. He never really showed enough ability to justify the hype. Weirdos just thought they can will him into becoming CR7 mark two just because he's English, came out of our academy and scored a handful of goals in his debut season. Remember that fella who had a similar trajectory at City? Binned ruthlessly and quickly in favour of another young but genuinely talented striker. That's what clubs who are serious about winning do. But that would cost actual money and we can't have that at Manchester "Cash Cow" United.
Gotta love all those blaming Ole for sticking with him though. While they're not technically wrong, as Ole more or less did make up his bed with how he treated Lukaku in favor of Rashy™, let's not try to pretend that not everyone and their mothers hounded one of the greatest managers of all time for not extracting more of this hack. You're not that clever with your transparent attempt at rewriting history here. As if sidelining him was ever a realistic option for whoever came in when the footballing Einsteins high up the board and across the media and fan base already decided that he was an indisputable first team player.
Some laugh at the Welbeck comparisons, and while I was never a fan of his either, I'd take a Welbeck of similar age any day of the week over this kick and run merchant. At least he was able to control a ball. Occasionally.

When he first burst onto the scene, it was his movement and ability to lose the cb inside the box that made me think we found an absolute gem.
If you were to watch tape of him now vs that first year to 18 months under lvg you wouldnt even know your watching the same player
He's changed his game and gotten worse
Needs a coach to bring him back down to earth, realize he's not Neymar and simplyfy his game, focus on the assets he does have and hone them.
Don't recall him scoring many outside the box.I'm not that concerned that he's in horrible form as he's 21 or 22 and players his age aren't the most consistent.
The issue I have is how is he going to get his form back! He's always too reliable on sexy goals- goals from outside the box or finessed shots and all. He hardly is involved in those dirty goals- resulting from chaos in penalty box. He doesn't make any runs into the box, hardly has ever scored from 6 yard box, hell can't remember him taking a shot from that range as well! He's never making the run to come ahead of the marker and is never at the end of any whipped or floating cross. If he can't score these goals, then I'm sorry to say, but he would not score more than 15-17 goals in a season even in in his peak years
Noticed this, no anticipation of what is coming and no instinct on what to do.You don't.
Key moment for me was that Dalot cross that resulted in our only chance of the match. Mata makes a near post run, opens up the middle of the box. Pereira is running to the far post where the ball was eventually cleared. Rashford isn't even inside the box.
He's shockingly bad and not even making the CB's work for it like Lukaku did during his poor patches.
How can he assist when he decides he doesn't want to pass?

Wow. Under a decent manager, his days are numbered at this club. Jose was heavily criticised for only using him as a bench option for a while. The media (including the United ones) have hyped him much beyond his abilities. He's played most of those 26 games as striker. When Ole arrived Rashford was his CF. Then Lukaku came back from injuries and played some games as CF but he was mostly benched in favor of Rashford.
This season started and Martial only played 3 games then git injured. Rashford was then restored to the CF position. At least 20 of those 26 games have been played as a CF.
Head down running, very irritating. How can he assist when he decides he doesn't want to pass?
They lived in their own bubble, I think an outside perspective wouldn't hurt at all.Overhyped.
Was never really a world class player. Not buying a striker and only trusting Rashford to be the sole #9 was sucidal to begin with, more than half the caf called it, dont know how Woody and Ole were unable to see that.
Rashford just doesnt have that killer instinct, thats really hard to develop, comes naturally.
@shamans This is what we were talking about on whatsapp. Making that simple run inside doesn't need to be taught, it doesn't particular coaching. Rashford is just cluelessYou don't.

Supposedly because Lukaku wanted to go... That's just a crazy excuse for me. A player leaving doesn't mean you have to let him if you have no replacement ready. Agreeing to this decision in particular will be the end of him at the club.Hilarious that Ole put him on 250k and shoved our only goal scorer out of the team.

Yeah - Ole's in charge of contractsHilarious that Ole put him on 250k and shoved our only goal scorer out of the team.
Ole took a massive gamble that didn’t pay off by trusting in Rashford. Though to be fair, Martial is his preferred striker and his injury has been a massive loss to a team that already struggled for goals. I honestly don’t think we’re that bad, but just can’t score, which is an enormous problem for a football team! I feel that if we had a decent goal scorer (Vardy would be a good choice), we’d have picked up far more points and wouldn’t be in this crisis.
Yeah - Ole's in charge of contracts
Educate yourself before your stupid hot takes.
Umm. No.Ummm... in case you've forgotten Ole is Rashfords manager. He'd have some input into the new contract.

Umm. No.
It looked that way indeed but still the club's needs trumps what Lukaku wanted, Ole should have kept him or at least agreed to sell after a replacement was brought.Because he was reduced to a bench player which is exactly what Rashford should be at this moment. Well, that's what I've read.
