Out of position? He was basically up top for the whole of the game. He did nothing right besides the one pass to Lukaku.
 
He is so so inconsistent. He needs to sort it out. He has too many performances like this for our main attacking player

Quite unfair. He has played a lot recently and is carrying a knock since the Liverpool game. It doesn't help with our other attackers being on the treatment table for the last few weeks.

Also he is still 21 so inconsistency is quite common at this age.
 
Also his movement inside the box is atrocious. He is always on his heels and never anticipates anything.

Don't see anything unfair. I didn't say he's trash. He's just frustratingly inconsistent.

He played up top but it's basically different position to what he played before, he is basically our second striker. He also played wide right couple of times in last few games.

Not excusing him since he was really poor, just saying.
 
Rashy played up top but was not up to scratch today. His decision making was quite off today.
 
I believe hes developed some sort of arrogance in his game whereby he thinks he can do the unimaginable and he's not keeping his game simple. Really poor performance. Needs to improve the consistency in his decision making.
 
Think he needs a rest. In poor form right now.

With pogba back I’d play 4231 with pogba behind Lukaku

He's been so indulged to the point he doesn't even bother to take care of the basics.

Managed to perform worse than mid week. Hoping he's dropped for the next game.
 
He wants to be the main man but he's just not good enough right now. He's so hot and cold and when he's cold (which is often) he's really really bad.

He also has the 'can't be subbed' status within the squad which is a shame as when he plays bad he kills everything going forward.
 
Been poor for a while now. His final ball and decision making were atrocious. Couple this with sloppiness in his general play and that's what we got tonight and some other games recently. I just hope no one blames Lukaku or position for Rashford performance, that was solely on himself.

Need to pick up form. I don't buy the knock excuses, maybe knackered but it's just most likely a run of poor form. He's sort of streaky. Oke needs to focus on his general play because it's been poor.
 
Two super passes that created big chances for Lukaku, the rest of his performance was poor.
 
A bit like Rooney towards the end of his time with us, Rashford on his day can be very good but his bottom level is atrocious.
 
Not sure if his ankle isn't right yet but he was MIA today. Decision-making atrocious.

That's a poor excuse and he doesn't carry any knock. That Liverpool game was weeks ago and he's been fine.

Him making poor decision and failing to produce that final ball has nothing to do with any knocks or being knackered, he's just been poor for a while now. His selfishness also has nothing to do with the excuses mentioned.

Like that free header at the end or that time he was slipped through and had a poor touch?

Thought generally on Wednesday he was actually pretty poor and he continued it today, his problem is pretty much over doing everything, really just needs to take the simple option at times or get his head up and play a pass.

There was a moment where he wanted the ball and it went to Fred and he threw a little strop and in doing that Fred couldn’t play the ball to him which if he’d continued his run he would have been in a good position to put a ball across.

Then there was that one where he just kept running when he had Shaw and someone else out wide in better advanced positions and he ignored them till it was too late, just kept running with the ball.
 
He’s been bad in general for a few games now, but that was the worst. Performances getting progressively worse it seems.

Rashford is a worse finisher than Lukaku and those chances failing on him would have not guaranteed anything.
 
How many counters did he mess up? I noticed 4 in the second half alone and all of them were the same, i.e him running from the right side to the left, ignoring obvious passes then failing to control the ball as he overrun it. The first half was poor, too. The only way we can get the results now is when at least 2 of Pogba - Lukaku - Rashford have a good game.
 
Very poor performance, worst player on the pitch. Looks so raw in alot of things still.
 
I hope he doesn't become to Ole what Lukaku was to Jose. He's been poor recently and merits time on the bench.

Disagree. The first one Rashford would have slotted it in with his right foot. Low and into the corner.
 
Was just thinking how he rarely gives you an average game, he's either very good and does something amazing or he has games like this, where he ruins your attacking play.
 
Apart from that pass to Lukaku, 95% of his driblbing, shots and passes were absolute horrible. He couldnt have done any worse if he tried.

Think he needs a rest.
 
Ole loves his talent but needs to take hm out of the firing line if this form continues. Also feel he's twice as inconsistent out wide.
 
Extremely poor today, holding on the ball for too long, misplacing passes, shoot being way off, nothing went his way. Possibly being overplayed.
