To be fair to him, he's gone in with two feet on more occasions then just these two incidents, and hasn't been sent off... so no wonder he's not learnt his lesson.

Coming in from the side like that I don't agree. Not too dangerous under those circumstances. Daft, rash and reckless, yes. Red, not for me.
With all due respect there's no other way to put this, you're simply wrong.

Should have been sent off at 0-0 in successive away games. Just brainless, has been in the form of his life but the guy is a ticking time bomb.

Him finding form and the opportunity to get a regular spot, as well United finally finding a bit of form and needing points.. yet still doing this = complete fecking idiot

He's going to hurt somebody, never mind get sent off.
This.

Those two challenges in the last week haven't just been blatant red cards, they've been potential season-enders for the victim.

I've seriously enjoyed Rojo's good form over the last month or two that seems to have come from nowhere, and I've felt he's pushed ahead of Jones in the pecking order because of it. And I can kind of understand one bad tackle. Shit happens. But doing the same thing twice in a week? Absolutely stupid. People still go on to this day about the one or two silly red cards that Smalling picked up last season, but they were nothing compared to these two that Rojo has somehow got away with.

Smalling's shirt pulling was decimated on here, but Rojo diving in with two feet is not a red.

You do realise that players get sent off for intent also.

I thought Jose would have a word about this last time but it seems that either Jose said nothing to Rojo or Rojo was being stupid, he really need to watch the two footed tackle.

Red card all day long, take your rose tinted specs off those who say it isn't cause if is was Zaha on one of ours you would all be crying for blood.

He wouldn't get away from it for too long, that is for sure. I am disappointed though that Mourinho didn't address this issue the first time though.

A ex-professional top referee thinks it's definitely a red card after getting to use replays and such. Why would anyone disagree?

It was reckless but not red, I'm not even sure his feet leave the ground in which case he'd be deemed to still be in control.

That's a weird way to have a discussion.

There's isn't a discussion to be had here in fairness.

If you don't think it's a red card you're either biased to the point of delusion or simply don't know the laws.

Said this last game he did it. He's an absolute liability, the sooner we get rid of him the better and for the betterment of all our opposition strikers careers.

He's going to cost us a serious amount of points doing stupid shit like that and we can't afford it.

That challenge is such a typical Rojo tackle. Like i said in my assessment of him, at Sporting he would look like a world beater for some games only to ruin it all with a stupid challenge and getting sent off. Lucky for him english refs are more permissive. It seems he doesn't learn, even with a disciplinarian manager such as Mourinho. Hot argie blood.

He is an accident waiting to happen. He is gonna run into a red card with his rash defending. Could have caused a penalty last match as well.
Squeezy bum time with him at CB.

You just knew people will come out the woodwork because of that (admittedly bad) tackle, yet this thread moves 1.5-2 pages in his good games

It's not just this game. Last game he almost caused a penalty. Now he is on the verge of a red and he makes stupid decisions.
I am all for him keeping up his good form, but his rashness is something he needs to cut out. He needs to use his brain more.

If you're off the ground you're out of control, it's dangerous. Those sorts of challenges can break legs and there's no need to ever tackle like that.

I don't disagree with you, just saying that it's funny how the Caf has already made up its mind on him. Why can't we ever give credit and criticism? Always the extremes.

How on earth can some of you say it's not a red?
The rules are clear on this.
Straight legs, studs showing, and comes flying in, if he hits or not, is totally irellevant.
It is dangerous and reckless.

Which is really sad, cause he's playing well these days.
Just too high risk playing him.
