Marco Verratti | Signed New Deal

Great player but PSG would never sell and to be honest any player coming from that team and league into the prem are going to get a shock I reckon and that includes Zlatan.

Another useless transfer saga as PSG will never sell. Just signed a new long term contract this season and we're not even in the CL. No chance.

This wont last long. Verratti will soon come out and say he is happy in Paris and his family too. Not to forget Nasser will say if we bid for one of his players, he will go for Martial.

If PSG offered a straight swap for Martial, would you take it?
No, that'd be pointless. The idea would be wanting to have both in our team to carry us forward same as DDG. He's a player we'd be happy to spend in excess of £100m on, we'd swap almost any other player but Martial for us is completely nontransferable.

Do you guys really rate Martial over Verratti?
Verratti is obviously the better player currently but Martial has the potential to be one of the best forwards in the world. And as good as Verratti could/will become, almost every fan would prefer a potential top class forward over a potential top class central midfielder.

Not necessarily, but he's not someone I'd be willing to give up for anyone. Martial has the potential to be one of the best in the world, though.

Verratti has potential to be one of the best midfielders ever. He is the closest player to scholes right now. You can always spend lots of money to get another LW who can be world class as well seeing as that position is quite saturated these days.

Can't say the same for the CM position, especially with players as rare as Verratti.

As does Verratti in his respective position. At the age of 23 he is already proven to be one of the best CM's out there, can't say the same about Martial.

You can't say the same about Martial, no... because he's not 23 yet

We'll see if Martial is one of the best in his position in 3 years time. Not many would say he won't be.

Fair enough, I guess it just comes down to preference.

This post makes no sense. The whole point of being "world class" is to be in the absolute top tier of players, which is a very select group of players and there can't ever be too many world class players. How many world class left wingers are there? Ronaldo, Neymar, and who else?

It's not saturated at all. Martial also has the capacity to move centrally further in his career. Verratti is excellent, there is no denying that, but you are doing Martial's ability and potential an injustice there by simply brandishing him as a replaceable winger; he's obviously so much more than that. I really don't think Verratti is that much like Scholes either. For one thing, his shooting technique is quite horrible for a player so gifted.

I wouldn't swap Martial for Messi.

Reus is not world class?
Hazard is not world class?
David Silva is not world class?
Ribery is not world class?
Sanchez is not world class?
Di Maria?

Then you have guys who are up and coming like Douglas Costa, Depay(lots of potential),Dimitri Payet, Lorenzo Insigne( and much more) who are potentially and have a very good chance of becoming world class players too. Can you say that about the CM position, the hardest and one of the most vital positions in the game? No you can't. Make sense now?

1) Yes it is, it is one of the most common position out there next to the CAM and ST position.
2)Verratti is great, but I was simply stating that the chances of getting another relatively great LM/LW/ST is about 75% higher than getting another CM of the caliber and extraordinary potential as Verratti. You are right Martial is special but Verratti is much more special especially when it comes down to sheer position.
3) I said Verratti is closest to Scholes. Keyword "closest"
