Al Hilal with a midfield of Verrati, SMS and Neves next season.

On paper that midfield doesn't look out of place in a champions league match. Probably better than the current PSG midfield.

Blok is 30 and never fit. It's not that much of a shock.

Whoever buys him is getting a superb player. He has fitness issues, but I do wish people would consider the potential benefits. Buy him and ensure the contract reflects his medical history. Not that difficult. Losing excellent footballers to a nothing league played in a country with no real interest in football. Just the commercial benefits of football. I think it's dreadful.

I'd take Verrati at Manchester United. If we can take RVP, Larsson, Van Der Sar etc at late twenties / early thirties, then why not Verrati? How 'old' was Zlatan? And we have never replaced him, no way....

Get Verrati tell him to go enjoy himself for a season or two rotate with Eriksen. Neither will play 50 games a season.

Are we pretending he has no other good offers now to excuse him for making another money move?

 I wish we could have seen him at some point in a better league.

Best Qatar signing at Paris and I'd say perhaps the most important PSG player for a decade... When fit... And not suspended.
I was skeptical about the "new Pirlo" label back then but he is a true fuoriclasse player despite all issues and the potentially squandered palmarès.
A shame QSI never replaced properly Matuidi and Motta and left the midfield to rot.

I'd take him anywhere in a heartbeat as a luxury rotation option.

Past his best anyway. An enormously talented player who never really fulfilled his potential like Pogba.

Probably one of the greatest midfielders never seen as he decide to waste his career in a farmers league.

Well the difference is that old those other guys were superb professionals.
Something that Verratti clearly isn’t.

What a waste of a career with his talent.

If it wasn't Southgate being an absolute coward and terrible against anyone good, he'd only have some tin pot french titles to his name

The talk was he'd be the next one after Iniesta/Xavi. Injuries played a big part but I don't think he had a better career than Fabregas.
I don't particularly like the guy but he sure did scramble a pretty decent career for himself, treble with bayern and an almost quadrupled with Liverpool ain't too bad.

Also I don't really think he ever had it in him to be as good as the aforementioned two so if anything he pretty much maximized his potential.

One of those names isn't like the others and not sure what Thiago did wrong.

Neymar either. He's had a very successful career, part of one of the greatest attacking sides of all time for me with Messi and Suarez and he was incredible.

Pogba and verratti especially are nowhere near them.

Kind of respect him for it, never looked back after Pescara - must be absolutely loaded.
What is respectable about having supreme levels of talent and choosing to squander making the most of said talent by going after more money despite already being unfathomably wealthy?

It was too short, he only won 1 CL two leagues. If you told me back in 2014 that he would head to Ligue 1 for the money I would've laughed in your face. Is he even a Barca legend?

We may not like Pogba but he won a WC and other titles And he was key to France’s WC18.

Just that from what I’ve seen he’s never pretended it’s anything other than that.

I'd have loved Verratti a few years ago. And I still feel he'd change the way we play - a genuine controlling technical midfielder. But at that age.... We'd basically have a midfield that would need completely replacing in 2 years time

| NEW: #mufc and Bayern Munich have expressed interest in recent days for Marco Verratti. Manchester United is a destination that’s not ruled out. [@lequipe]

He can smoke 30 a day and spend half the season injured, I’d still be begging for him. A central midfielder who knows how to hold the ball under pressure and pass 5 yards would be like seeing a mirage at Old Trafford
