Will be interesting to home Liverpool do spend the money from Sterlings sale

It's more likely Liverpool sign me than they sign Marco Reus.

It's the Metro. This isn't really all that credible, is it? Reus could have his pick of any club in the world, picks Liverpool? I doubt it.

Has this thread really just been bumped because of a Metro article?!

Metro is about reliable as that bloke down the pub who reckons he's got the inside bit on every race.

His reaction..

He wouldnt be seen dead at liverpool. he can play for any club in the world. Barca are full, as are madrid. It would be us, Bayern, chelsea, arsenal and PSG.
Absolutely, why would he leave Dortmund for Liverpool.

He's the only player I would allow Di Maria to leave for. But I just can't see us letting ADM go, not after one season.

Changing the title for the fecking metro?

They wouldn't offer enough to tempt Dortmund, he would turn them down if they did, and they won't even try in any case.

Reus to Liverpool?

This has to be the most ridiculous rumour this summer

If I was a Liverpool fan I wouldn't mind the club just slapping down the full 50m of the Sterling money, just to see what their reaction would be. That's what, 70m euros? Mind you the player would likely say no anyway.

Even if Dortmund agree, there'd be plenty of bigger clubs interested.

Has he played much on the right?

No. Isn't his style either. He is a right foot - going inward with speed. Best place actually for him is behind the striker in a counter attacking system - but that is something Leverkusen from the style does provide.

But I do not see Reus leaving. He had offers this summers at bigger clubs but he did not want to go as he had to challenge for a spot. At Dortmund he now ears very good with additional advertising contracts of sponsors - and he has his friends and family. He is not the guy to go abroad.

What's this about Leverkusen?

Nothing. I was somehow having trouble multitasking in different areas... Meant Liverpool typed Looserkusen... But thinking about it... they might have something in commom... ;)

Is this based on another twitter campaign by Liverpool fans telling John Henry to sign Reus with the Sterling money? Like last season after they sold Suarez?

He's always been admired/chased after by the Liverpool fans, but I can't see him actually going there. I read somewhere a few days ago that he wants to get Dortmund back into the CL too. Would be brilliant for Liverpool but unlikely. Maybe if they sacked Rodgers and convinced Klopp to manage them Reus might move.

Reus will only leave for an elite level team. He's too established as a top player to go to Liverpool. Madrid, Barca, Bayern are more his level.

He hasn't won anything with Dortmund, no chance he'll leave them to play for fecking Liverpool and Brenda Rodger .

If Di Maria goes I think he should be our number one target. Slap 80-85 million € down I think Dortmund would find it hard to say no.

That would be making the same mistake we did with Di Maria. Overpaying for a star player. If he finds it difficult to settle down in his first season, we will have posters calling for his head so that we can replace him with someone else.

When Sterlings are going for £50 million & we are getting linked with £30 million Benteke, paying £50-60 million for Reus seems about right to me.

2 mistakes never make a right.

Not when it doesn't cost that much to get him it doesn't. The man is playing for a team arguably now in the shit. Why are we throwing stupid money at them. Would only take around €35 m with Woody doing the deal.
