Signing a contract means nothing. Well, apart from securing a proper fee for Dortmund.
So doing what exactly means something?

I wonder if you didn't understand me or you did and decided to be a smarty. In any case, what I meant is that signing a new contract doesn't mean that he will stay after the summer.
Yeah, Woody should chase Reus and Hummels all summer till the last day. They'll definitely leave Dortmund and would be brilliant for United.I reckon thats pretty much guaranteed he's off in the summer then, and he's done the decent thing by letting them get a proper fee (and given his hometown club a confidence boost when they most need it). His old contract had another 2 years on it so no rush to renew if he was staying.
Not a chance. Madrid won't sign him. They might have taken a punt on him if he were £30m, they won't go and spend £60m or anything near on Reus.Madrid will have to pay their usual, every summer's transfer record.
Well played, BVB.
Do you think we have a chance to sign him for £60m ? PSG will probably jump on the deal like always...Not a chance. Madrid won't sign him. They might have taken a punt on him if he were £30m, they won't go and spend £60m or anything near on Reus.
For now.Great news for football really. Would love in our team but sometimes football is about more than money. Glad he didn't jump to Bayern either.
Perhaps, but it's up to the club now if they want to sell him, it needs to be neutrally beneficial. He could have left for a measily sum this summer to anybody he wanted. For now.
Contracts mean shit these days. He needs to stay to his 30's in BVB to prove he's a real deal of loyalty.
Him, Depay and Dybala would be a great injection of talent for us. I won't lie, I would love him him here but if he'll turn out to be loyal, I'll be happy with that, too.Perhaps, but it's up to the club now if they want to sell him, it needs to be neutrally beneficial. With Fosu-Mensah in the reserves that could be a set of quality midfield for more than 10 years.Definitely, but I will settle for Depay, Dybala and Pogba

In that case BVB has quite a solid foundation to rise again, sooner than later.PSG won't have the money and he won't go there, we won't buy him. He will stay at Dortmund into his 30s.

His last contract was April 2007. He asked to leave ~14 months later in summer of 2008, we sold him a year later in summer 2009.All this means is that Dortmund can demand a higher fee for him. When we sold Ronaldo, didn't he sign a new deal 12 months before or something along those lines? A player with a 4 year contract without a Release Clause will cost a lot more than one with an impending clause set to come into play.
Not really... Dortmund are massively under-performing this season, a lot of clubs were set to become interested in Reus this summer, with him being available for the amount he was before he signed this contract. It's definitely well done by Dortmund."Well played by BVB" .... That's like scoring an open goal and saying it was a blinder.

Luis Suarez. Fair play to Reus for not pulling a similar trick to Lewandowski though, albeit a more beneficial to Dortmund trick, but they deserved so so much more than that clause would of gave.
He'll still be gone in the summer

Care to elaborate? By getting him to sign this extension they just made about 20-30 mln euro more than they'd make with his clause.
