I have little doubt they will. If a German player has the choice of staying in Germany for similar wages then they will choose to, even if all the Premier league clubs offered a little higher.
80 million we should take him and Gundogan.
my muppet fantasy.
Isn't Gundogan a bit of a fatty at the moment? Its pretty touch and go whether he'll ever play football at that level ever again from what I've heard too.
Saw those pics to mate, but writing him off is a bit premature.
He has a back problem i think, but is he not back training?
Anyway if he gets back to 3 quarters the level he was at hed still be a great acquisition.
Yeah that's my point, I don't see how it would be worthwhile for both parties if he moved to Spain. Meanwhile he'd be a crown jewel for any of the top PL clubs if they signed him.
I wonder if Bayern will spoil the party...
I expect Bayern will try to get in one of Reus or Draxler in to replace Ribery. With both Ribery and Robben ageing, I wouldn't be surprised if Reus ends up at Bayern. Will be gut-wrenching for Dortmund though.

If he's going to get over his injury he'll need to do a lot of back training.Saw those pics to mate, but writing him off is a bit premature.

He turned down Bayern before didn't he? Let's hope he does again out of loyalty to Dortmund, and if so I think we'd have a real chance of signing him. Hopefully we'll be in the champions league next season and if so I think we'd only compete with the premier league clubs, given how stacked Barca and Madrid are.
I know that but I mean at the time he was joining Dortmund he turned down Bayern, for first team football and because he was a Dortmund youngster. There were fake quotes going around a few months ago, I don't think he ever turned down Bayern yet.
I don't think that would have a bearing on a transfer what so ever. Alexis is an Addidas sponsored player yet plays for Puma endorsed Arsenal.Reus would probably have to terminate his sponsorship with Puma if he were to join Bayern, though I don't know if the Puma-Adidas rivalry is such a big deal. (German fan here would tell you in better detail)
Yeah I see your point. I was probably just over thinking it.I don't think that would have a bearing on a transfer what so ever. Alexis is an Addidas sponsored player yet plays for Puma endorsed Arsenal.

Gomez moved to Bayern while he was the Puma posterboy. I don't think Bayern or Adidas would care, but I could see Puma offering Reus a lot more money to stay at Dortmund, especially if Puma really buys shares of the club and becomes an investor similar to Adidas at Bayern.Reus would probably have to terminate his sponsorship with Puma if he were to join Bayern, though I don't know if the Puma-Adidas rivalry is such a big deal. He wants to win trophies, going by some of the quotes he's given. He can win trophies at Bayern. Him joining them is not out of the question. As for him signing for United, just being in the CL next season won't be enough. A serious title challenge at least is needed. If he thinks he stands a better chance of winning trophies with City/Chelsea/whoever, that's the club he'll choose. He turned down Bayern before didn't he? Agree. He has turned them down once but that's when Dortmund were the dominant team in Germany, it will be interesting to see who he chooses given his relatively cheap buy-out clause I'd imagine every top European club is going to be in for him.I feel Bayern is definitely going after Reus, even if Draxler finally manages to stabilize his performances on a very high level. Meyer and Werner are certainly also in the mix, but Reus seems like the perfect immediate heir to Franck Ribery with little risk involved.
When you look at the current market evaluations it becomes clear that 35M for Reus is a huge bargain. It would be also a powerful response to Real and Barca on the transfer market.
It'd still be pretty risky signing him now, he looks woefully out of shape. He has a beer belly and everything. Would a club like United really sign a player in that condition?
Back to training but from what I hear pretty far away from match shape. Then again at his best he was one of the best midfielders in Europe so as you say, might be worth a pop.
With our new emphasis on fitness, louis will have him whipped into shape quickly nevermind Dortmund an d Klopp taking all the proper precautions with him.
The problem with a back injury is core work ,hence his belly, that will go in no time with a professional athlete.
Getting the calibre of someone like Gundogan will afford the manager more choices in terms of system changes, bolster numbers in terms of quality but more importantly add an element of surprise as teams wont know what theyre coming up against tactically wise untill they see our team sheet.
He would be worth more than a punt in my eyes, but he and/or reus would make my year.

I'm not convinced he'll even leave. I'd make Arsenal and Barcelona favourites to get him if he did though.
How could Barca be among the favourites for him when they paid 80m odd for Neymar in that position?

Meant Bayern, sorry.
