16m is a no brainer.
16m is a no brainer.
People are talking some absolute shite in here. At 20m I am snapping Bayern's hand off before they ask for another 10. He is perfect for rotation. Not every player is going to be Bellingham. Not to mention we most likely won't be splashing much cash beyond the one marquee signing we do make.
Same. We are well stocked on bodies. We have enough squad quantity that we can focus on quality with the next couple CMs. We need to fix our complete loss of control when Casemiro is rotated. It's not going to be easy to address. It’s a no from me. He’s ok, but doesn’t really improve us in any real way. Any signings we make should be with a view to improving on what we have in the first team, or at least the potential to improve it. Not replacing underwhelming shite that’s sat on our bench with mediocre upgrades unlikely to improve from where they are.

I am mostly on your side on this issue BUT there is one scenario, that sounds very good to me: straight swap DVB and Sabitzer. Sabitzer seems to be capable close to opposition goal. Something that hasn't been said about DVB in quite a while. At Bayern he maybe could take over the Müller Raumdeuter role from ... well Müller. We'd get a squad option capable of doing a good job as sort-of-AM and capable of a decent job at CM for the price of a player that has not use to us at all. It’s a no from me. What type of injury did he pick up in the warm up?
Wasn’t aware Bayern pay those salariesSupposedly currently on £200K + a week, can't be paying that for a squad player.
hopefully precautionaryGroin injury according to Sky
No luck with injuries at all.Groin injury according to Sky
Good that Eriksen was ready to step in for him today. If we can get him on a decent price I'm up for signing him up
I mean SabitzerWe’ve already signed Eriksen.
I mean Sabitzer
Oh!
Well he wasn’t missed. Eriksen quality was definitely missed. Glad he’s back.

That’s a good question, maybe they wanted him to rest it and watching it was fine, needing some time to see how it feels or if it’s inflamedIf it wasn't precautionary wouldn't they treat him somehow instead of letting him watch the game for the full 90?
Well we need him on thursday against Sevilla with Bruno out..
Yeah we do!! I hope he comes in and plays well. I like his performance as a 10.
The idea should be to upgrade the starting team to make us better. Sign a midfielder who does the things we can't do currently and let someone like Eriksen become the good squad depth instead of throwing £20m at a 29 year old player who isn't good enough to be the regular starter. Sabitzer is a number 10 and we don't have any shortage in that position.People are talking some absolute shite in here. At 20m I am snapping Bayern's hand off before they ask for another 10. 16 million in the current market is basically bargain basement.
He's a fantastic footballer, so it's a complete no brainer.
Guy can play in any of the positions in midfield if Eriksens out, he’s in, Bruno out, he’s in, casemiro out he’s in. We need to rest players more than we do at the momentWill say what I have said since he came in and that's I would only sign him provided we get Caicedo to play that role alongside Casa and cover if necessary
He hasn't shown any decent ability to play in either Eriksen or Casemiro's spots for us as of yet. Fred's been better in Eriksen's, Scott's been better in Casemiro's. Neither of which (especially Scott) are really at the level we want anyway. The only position Sabitzer has played in and shown enough to maybe be decent back-up is Bruno's, and even that is debatable. Although I guess what we've seen recently is Bruno dropping back into the deeper role and Sabitzer playing as #10, so I guess he is still rotating with Eriksen in a way.Guy can play in any of the positions in midfield if Eriksens out, he’s in, Bruno out, he’s in, casemiro out he’s in. How are we going to swap a player that’s out with a season ending injury? So right now we have:
Casemiro, Bruno, Eriksen
Mct, Fred, Sabitzer
6 players for 3 positions, I think we really need to sign at least 1 world class CM to play next to Case and Bruno as a starter. In order to buy Sabitzer both Fred and Mct need to be sold because I don't see us selling Casemiro, Bruno or Eriksen.
Also age has to be taken into consideration as our midfielders are around the 30 year mark.
In my opinion I see no reason to buy him, we need younger and more talented players.
He's a useful little player, but his injury record is bit concerning. He didn't even play that much in the Bayern team

I've not see anything to suggest he's better than Fred.I'm not convinced with what he does. Is he a slight better Fred?
We need someone to cover/challenge Casemiro, none of our midfielders can do what he does.
We need a creative 8, Eriksen is our only one and he can't be expected to play 50 games a season.
I was hoping Sabitzer would be a creating 8, but he doesn't seem quite that either.
Maybe he's a b-tech bruno?
