Really has looked solid for us given the circumstances, think he's been a fine Eriksen replacement so far.

Can't wait to see him playing next to Casemiro though, feel his skillset would complement his perfectly

Sabitzer has slotted into the side effortlessly and looks to have adapted to the pace of the EPL already. He shows great skill and determination in moving forward, I just hope we can make him a permanent signing.

We should be seeing them together for first time in Nou Camp, however because he wasn't starting regularly for Bayern they were happy to risk him getting booked.

Instead we will have to wait another week for this to happen, very frustrating but looking forward to seeing him play further forward in that game.

Most players in his shoes would've been overwhelmed understandably, coming from the BDL not having played much and being thrown in the deep end against a rabid Leeds side who probably play the game at twice the speed he's used to. Twice in a week no less, AND not only did he just do a job, but played a massive part in both games.

It's only a small sample size so far, but going off the way the he's not hidden when he could've easily, but shown some guts, I want more players like this playing for us. It helps he's a very handy footballer too. Would be very happy if we signed him perm in the summer, along with maybe a Bellingham or FDJ. One can dream.

I think that is somehow funny as the tactics of Leeds come from the German Bundesliga from a coach that is "full of the RedBull philosophy"... Sabitzer's way went over Red Bull Salzburg and Leipzig to Bayern. Extreme pressing in teams is something that about all of the Bundesliga teams really can do.

He is used the speed. His problems are more to get to know his own team. There is a difference if you know where your midfield partner is or if you have first to check where he is.

Honestly he hasn't been that good. Was up and down in the first game and anonymous for 80 mins of the second.

Considering he is playing alongside Fred who causes anyone issues in the midfield I think he has been fine. Will be more interesting to see how he gets on when Casemiro is next to him.

Been a fairly average start but he's only really played alongside Fred. Interested to see how he looks with Case and/or Eriksen.

I really like the idea of him alongside Casemiro. I do like Eriksen but he can be abit lightweight. a midfield 3 of Bruno, Sabitzer and Case is a must in tough away games

Anywhere around the £35m mark I think I’d take him with the option that he’d likely be a starter or a very good understudy in a few positions. I think he’s a class above Fred/McT BUT below the likes of De Jong that we should be aiming for.

I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far in two hard games without some of our best players

I totally disagree with some of the posters here who say he's been average. IMO so far he's been good but not great. The pass out to Shaw created the first goal for us on Sunday and his passing range and ability on the ball is a big asset for us.

Hopefully we will continue to see him improve every week and I think he'll be a really solid partner next to Casemiro.

As with pretty much every Ten Hag signing so far, his work rate and attitude seem top notch.

Very glad that this now seems to be top of our criteria when signing anybody. It felt like almost every team in the league was running rings around us for most of the past few years.

Been decent so far. Think he’ll be even better next to Casemiro. He’ll be able to contribute a bit further forward when playing next to him.

The word that emphasises the difference between what he would usually face in the Bundesliga to that of the Premier League is "rabid".

Sabitzer really hasn't missed a beat coming in. He's been solid and dependable for the most part. Mistakes happen, I don't dwell on them. He's already put in good shifts without Casemiro, so I can't wait to see him developing that relationship along with the rest of the team.

Give him a chance to play with Casa,if you still feel the same afterwards then fair enough

He reminds me of Fred in the energy and pressing hi adds to the team, but he plays with abit more awareness and I feel like his passing is better.
Wouldnt mind keeping him.

I personally hope we replace Fred with hannibal so we can get a CDM & a new playmaker.

I think he’s looked very promising.

The nature of the games he’s played in means he’s spent more time and effort defending than playmaking. Much as I love Eriksen, I think he would have struggled playing in Sabitzer’s position in those games.

Casemiro is essential to free up Eriksen and now Sabitzer. These absences have reminded us of the sheer magnitude of quality brought by Eriksen and Casemiro but also how important it is to get the right blend in CM.

Sabitzer has the qualities to compensate for our losing Eriksen and we’ll see a good blend with Casemiro soon.

If Hannibal can step up we won’t really need a new playmaker, will we? Between him and Eriksen that’s good coverage, surely.

Getting cover for Casemiro would be good but hanging onto Sabitzer might be the answer to that - he’s very versatile and intelligent. He can compete for first choice no8 and, if he can’t break in, he can at least provide cover and rotation for no8 AND no6.

It’s early days but I think Sanitzer could start 25 games a season for us and sub on in most games where he’s not starting and that’s with everyone fit. We hoped for the same from Donny but Sabitzer has looked much better than him already.

Going back to Hannibal, he’s one for the Eriksen role and I think he’ll replace him within a couple of seasons. Fred is a useful option when you need to send on fresh legs to disrupt !the opposition when we’re defending a lead. I’d keep him around.

Sorry if i missed this.

Why was Sabitzer not in the squad against Barcelona?

Was he ill/ injured or just not eligible to play in the Europa League?

one game suspension due to yellow cards accumulation (in the CL with Bayern).

Man Utd 3:0 Leicester
Now that 2nd half performance is more like it. Quality.

Yes, a pattern of him struggling then growing into games is there. Good player, I don't see a incredible top level in him but a solid option.

Good second half and its been tough for him to just come in with such tough run of games and with Fred next to him. He has done well

He looks like a good player who is not quite match fit, and probably not playing in his best position, but given those two factors, he has done well.

Always searching for and open to playing a progressive pass - not just keeping things ticking over but playing either little flicks, longer switches, or going on a little dribble to keep forward momentum.

Made a few mistakes as well today, but excited to see him settle in next to Casemiro for the run in.

Good performance, his use of the ball again being impressive. Just lacks a bit of pace so gets caught out at times in transitions

If he is available for up to 30m we should sign him as he is really good option to have.
