I think Neuer is probably the best young keeper out there and he would suit the PL. I wouldnt mind to splash the cash for him, he has massive potential

I've seen Stekelenburg a handful of times and he does not impress. Rather get one of the Germans, maybe that De Gea kid or just lure Buffon away for a few years (hoping he's not going to be crocked often).

Well, van Gaal doesn't look like he is a big fan - he wouldn't have promoted second goalkeeper Thomas Kraft in goal for Hans-Jörg Butt at the start of the second half of the Bundesliga season. Should Kraft perform; I doubt Bayern would splash the cash on Neuer. Should Kraft fail to impress though, Bayern will definitely bid for Neuer.

On raw talent De Gea looks the best imo -just not sure he's ready for such a transition(spaniard adjusting to northern England, a very different league and level of pressure).
Iirc Van Der Sar had a tough time at Juventus, he was 28-29 when he moved there, and lasted just 2 seasons before they replaced him with Buffon.

German magazine SPORT BILD have reported, that Manuel Neuer has a ''secret clause'' in his current contract.
Should a team, that plays Champions' League football, bid more than 15m Euros for Neuer (a written offer), Schalke have to negotiate with the bidder. Interesting: Schalke can still reject the bid, but, this would also add another 400.000 Euro to Neuer's annual salary. Neuer earns 2m Euros per year at the moment, so every rejected offer would add another 400.000 Euros to his earnings.
Schalke, though, are still hoping to negotiate an extension with their goalkeeper. Felix Magath, Schalkes Manager, said: ''We are negotiating with him and will make a decision around the beginning March.''
He definitely looks the best option...

He is not going to get it anytime soon. They are 11th in the table right now. So no UCL next season for him if he stays.
The clause probably means that when one club that competes in CL bids for him, Schalke will have to raise his salary by 400k but it will only be one time - when another one comes knocking, they won't have to do that. Otherwise top clubs could just all bid €15m for him, if there were ten or twelve of them it'd send his salary through the roof and Schalke would be forced to sell at much reduced price as they would not be able to affort to pay him anymore.
Saw him play the other week again and he does look impressive. Has a calmness and assuredness about him.

Conceded two very poor goals in the weekend.
Didn't see the second goal, but the first goal he conceded was avoidable. Stingy shot, but it was near post and all.
Adler made a big mistake too against Stuttgart today.
Adler was decent in the little bit of the Bayer match I watched. Came out very well once to kick the ball away before he got banged in the face.
Adler or Neuer, both are absolutely beastly for Bayer and Schalke in FM!
