Manchester United vs. Wigan Athletic

Why are people so fecked off with the line up

I have seen us put out much worse line ups in the past!

I don't mind the line-up to be honest, but I'd prefer it if Giggs is just played on the left for the first half then replaced with Valencia/Kagawa/Lingard.

Let's see what RvP and Welbeck can offer as a front two rather than shoving Danny on the wing.

Am more interested in how we setup rather than the actual personnel. Welbeck drifting in from the left or more of a 4-4-2 with Giggs as a tucked in left winger?

How important are you all seeing this game as? From an outsider's view although not important, I think Moyes could seriously do with a win after a strange pre season.

I see it important from the stance that it could be vital for Moyes to get off to a winning start, just even to settle things down and appease the media for a day or so.

It's quite possible Welbeck with play out wide and not Giggs. Or they'll keep switching during the game.

I'm guessing we'll see something like this:
de Gea
Rafael Vidic Evans Evra
Zaha Carrick Cleverley Giggs
Welbeck
van Persie
Nani in for Zaha if fit, and Giggs and Welbeck maybe to switch positions.

OFFICIAL MUFC TEAM:

de Gea

Rafael
Jones
Vidic
Evra

Zaha
Carrick
Cleverley
Giggs

Welbeck
van Persie

Moyes is easier to read than Fergie, but how did I forget about Jones, shit.

A loss doesnt mean much but a win and a trophy would be a good boost before the real business starts.

Take RVP out of that team and it would look very ordinary indeed.

Do you not rate David de Gea?

Can you think of a better right back than Rafael in the Prem?
Or a CB you'd have over Vidic.

What about Carrick. One of the best players in the prem last year?

Or young talents like Welbeck and Zaha.

Give over will ya.

Would like to see Januzaj come on around the 60th minute if all is going well, enjoyed watching his play the other night.

Our hands are tied with the match played on Friday night. It's probably the best line-up we could field in the circumstances. Wigan will fancy their chances, though.

Obvious Kagawa wasn't going to start today. I don't think he fits in with Moyes' tactics. Shame if it's another stop-start season.

It also says much when Giggs starts, with due deference to his tremendous career.

Is it going to be a 4-4-1-1?

YAAS! There's nothing like the feeling when you know there's a United game in an hour or so. Excited!

442 it is.

Against Wigan that's fine but I wouldnt want us to play that too often against teams witha strong midfield.

Not having a go at the line up but Giggs???

I'm sorry...He's been fantastic for us and in my view, our greatest player....But this shit needs to stop. Pre season or not

At a guess we are playing 4-3-3 with Welbeck and Zaha wide. I can't see Giggs playing on the left but I could be wrong.

I hope that's not the starting eleven for next weekend. Deliberately avoided the transfer threads this summer but the lack of any signings on top of the Rooney saga dragging on has been frustrating.

Think that's the strongest lineup we could play at the moment. Would possibly say Kagawa in there somewhere, but he's only just come back from a break and he was dire on Friday...
