Is Rojo definitely unavailable for the left back slot?

Can see Blind at LB with Rooney coming back into midfield. Wouldn't mind seeing Di Maria in for Young or Fellaini, but suspect it will be for Mata.

    4-0 win

    Lineup I submitted:

DDG-Blind, Jones, Smalling, Valencia-Herrera, Rooney, Fellaini - Di Maria, RVP, Young.
Exactly the same here. Mata was taken off early last week, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him dropped for ADM, though I still think it's 50/50.

With rooney in the centre of the park he would be able to command the orders to everyone, but not be as much of a goal threat, if he's striker he would have an hard time commanding the lads in defence through the roars of the crowd

I've gone for Mata. Di Maria hasn't shown enough to warrant replacing him in the starting XI imo.

Yah I'm still torn on it. Will definitely be interesting to see who he picks!

If Carrick, Rojo, Evans, Rafael and Shaw are all out then......

Bench: Valdes, McNair, Pereira, Young, Januzaj, Van Persie, Falcao

Special note: Valencia is lucky boy that we don't have currently another right-back in the squad.

Not my preferred line-up, but Blackett over Young at LB? Any specific reason?

By the way, when was the last time we scored more than 3 vs a low table side? Even under Moyes we could still manage a 4-0.
The only times we scored more than 3 this season were against QPR at home (4-0) and Man City at home (4-2).

I find that quite shocking to be fair. At OT we have to just rip those small teams apart.
    Compared to Moyes:
Swansea away (4-1), Villa home (4-1), Newcastle away (4-0), Norwich home (4-0, League Cup), Bayer Leverkusen x2 (4-2 home, 5-0 away, Champions League). Also Giggs got one against Norwich at home (4-0).

So that's 3 in the league, 2 in the CL and 1 in the League Cup. Not that much more, you also have to consider that Moyes did have a title winning team with a much better RVP while LVG had a defence in disarray that he had to sort out by messing with the 352.

Also we got slapped around by City, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton, Chelsea..

Of course, I was just comparing the wins where we scored more than 3 goals. LVG tends to kill off games this season as well, games like Leicester at home for example where we could have scored 4.

Just checking but requesting rivers is prohibited?

Sorry but I have not logged on here as a poster for quite a bit.

Predict Di Maria to start. Really hoping he starts in midfield, though - give Fellaini a rest. Ashley Young does enough defensively to make up for ADM's lack grit, in that respect.

    Valencia - Smalling - McNair - Blind
    Rooney
Mata - Herrera - Di Maria - Young
    Falcao
Let Rooney play the Carrick role. Herrera is better at linking the midfield to attack.

    Rooney in midfield then.

Glad Mata hasn't been dropped, it would have been undeserved.

Rooney in midfield then unless he's changed formations
