Manchester United vs. Stoke City

Nani has been the worst player on the pitch, take him off.

No he hasn't. He's been poor, but our defenders have been shocking. At least Nani has contributed positively to the team with that cross to Rooney.

all summer and we got feck all players..

incompetency. just sell the club to some damn sheik you Glazers.

we are a joke.

Why should players like De Gea and Rooney stay with this display.

If the last sentence didn't give you away, I would have spazzed out completely

A comeback win could be just what we need to kick start our season. It could happen but only if Moyes makes the right subs at the right time: NOW!

Cleverley has been a nightmare. Instead of linking play up from midfield he's running ahead of everyone when we get the ball. Both kagawa and Rooney have been coming deep to his job. Absolutely pathetic. Evra is not tracking his man as usual.
?????????????? fecking hell, what are some of you watching??????

We're shit, I can't even be arsed to analyse why we're shit, we're just shit. We're controlling possession, we're even knocking it around quite nicely in spells, and yet every time Stoke go forward they look like scoring, exactly the same thing happened against West Brom, it's just shit. And everything seems so inevitable, before he hit that freekick I knew he was going to score, at half time against West Brom I knew they'd win, the last few minutes against Southampton I knew they'd equalise, it's all rather peculiar.

No spark, no cohesion and terrible defending. Lets see if we can turn this one around...

Something is seriously wrong here. How does a team that practically strolled to the title last season become so bad over a summer?

Supporters aren't booing players! Most likely has something to do with the RVP incident.

RVP must be so frustrated. Just the one season he finally wins something and SAF retires, and we go complete shite.

Yeah, poor RVP. Signed for Manchester United and finally won a league title, knowing he's pocketing 200k a week. My heart goes out.

I am pretty sure that we'll win today. We are attacking a lot which is good and while we are a bit meh in defense, if we continue playing like this we'll win.

When do we play Arsenal now? 11 points behind them if this continues and potentially could be 14pts behind them after we play them. Whichever way you look at it, that is a hell of a long way behind 4th place finishers last season.

The booing could have been in response to the Van Persie stuff that was still going on or the fact that the ref blew the whistle just as Nani was about to cross it in .

disgrace of a first half, we are playing Stoke at home FFS, team looks like it is not bothered, Stoke should of been 3 up by now only DDG stopped it and he was at fault for the second goal, I am in the group of fans wanting Moyes sacked but my god I am getting worried, very worried, being out played by Stoke at home is not acceptable

The free kick they scored from seemed like the type of foul Stoke has been making all day but we've gotten nothing from. Still stupid from Jones to give it away though.

Same story as always with our offence. Just nothing happening. Nani's having one of his frustrating performances, but still set up the goal with an excellent cross. RvP invisible apart from the goal and that handbags, and I'm not sure anyone knows what Kagawa's role is. Rooney and De Gea are the only ones who haven't been terrible really.

Why the fecking feck is Nani taking corners still? I swear to god, it just makes no sense. Why didnt Van Persie go over and take it rather than getting involved in handbags and getting wound up?

Pathetic half. De Gea probably shouldve saved the FK, but he's made some very good saves apart from that to be fair to him.

I am pretty sure that we'll win today. We are attacking a lot which is good and while we are a bit meh in defense, if we continue playing like this we'll win.

I admire your optimism but I honestly think we are more likely to concede two than score two.

I imagine the fans there are fuming, there's only so long this can go on for.

Most of those are those who have only known success under Sir Alex Ferguson though. Most of them don't remember the days of Ron Atkinson and his lean spells where an F.A Cup was worth its weight in gold. Nowadays, our fans are so spoilt that it is unreal. It is good to have a reality check and it will separate the real fans from those who just look for success.

I don't understand how a championship team can get this bad so fast. We just need one good game I think it's more a confidence issue combined with a shit defense.

Confidence is definitely an issue with a few players. Not sure the booing helps.

Cleverley has been a nightmare. Instead of linking play up from midfield he's running ahead of everyone when we get the ball. Both kagawa and Rooney have been coming deep to his job. Absolutely pathetic. Evra is not tracking his man as usual.

I should have known someone would manage to blame Cleverley for this

The booing could have been in response to the Van Persie stuff that was still going on or the fact that the ref blew the whistle just as Nani was about to cross it in .

That won't be the story in the media!

One positive we can take form that half is that, at last, everyone can agree that Tom Cleverley is THE single most pointless human being in the history of time. The kid has no heart and no balls and no place in the team. He's afraid of the opposition and afraid of the ball and we genuinely are playing with a man down.

Get him off to feck and don't fecking play him again.

This is coming from somebody who hates criticizing players and usually backs them to the hilt but one thing I won't stand for is a player not trying. I'd rather have Nani's shit passing and shite shots all day long, at least he's trying something and isn't afraid to try and make something happen.

Tom Cleverley is the most ineffective player in our squad.

I seriously think we should put Fellaini in attack. It's not like we can string 5 passes together.

I bet teams can't wait to play against us. Stoke are terrible, especially away from home. We are lucky its only 2-1. They've had some outstanding chances. Phil Jones doesn't know the meaning of goal side. So many of their chances, you see Jones outside the area, and Evra and Evans are the ones doing the defending. I like Jones alot, but he's been all over the place today.

True. Perhaps Fergie had more of a Midas touch than we thought eh.
My main issue in today and recent matches have been our lack of breaking teams down. Thats been our trademark and we have been too lax about it.
I believe its pointless to talk about Fergie's influence. He was influential, and no doubts about it. But move on with the past talk. It just pegs us down.

Pathetic is the right word.

After scoring at the right time we decide to give awy free kick in the best possible area for them and again we're behind.

Don't know what's happening with players but think Sir Alex leaving made them think there's less obligation to the shirt they're wearing.

Once again, pathetic!

Dunno. Maybe Moyes needs to get rid of the old and guard. I suspect older players won't have the same respect for Moyes as they had for Fergie.

He's also changed the whole backroom staff and replaced them with Phil Neville, Steve Round, and Nicky Butt. There was no need to change all of that except to put his "stamp" on the team. He's only made it more difficult on himself by doing it. If he had kept them, he could just come in and let everything keep going as normal in terms of training, preparation, etc. They knew what they were doing and had been doing it for years. Making so many changes in addition to replacing Fergie was dumb.
