I am angry..because all this would have been unnecessary. Arsenal are good...but we really should be up there with them if we had some decent midfielders. We have the best strikers in the league.
Smalling and Jones will get better with age. It's quite usual for CBs. But they'll never be as good at RB as a player dedicated to that role. I think any pair out of Evans/Jones/Smalling could do a good job if they played every week.

We were dog shit for large parts of the game, but the result is the most important thing. Januzaj injected some much needed life into us though. That kid is going to be huge.
Putting Rooney into midfield taking luxurious nani off putting januzaj on made a massive difference but evra worked his feckin socks off, poor bastard ran the left side on his own
I'd rather have Jones at RB then Smalling and Smalling than Jones at CB. Jones can go past opponents, Smalling can't. I also think Smalling doesn't play as recklessly as Jones. At the moment with those three, not one of them takes charge. All three are too quiet in my opinion.

Same problem as always: not getting balls into dangerous areas. Add to that shaky central defending. If United start getting more balls on the flanks and taking on their opponents, better things will happen for them. They have the players to do this. The central defending concerns me at the moment. Thank goodness for the play of David de Gea.

Great to see our strikers on the scoresheet. Not the best of performances especially in midfield and defence. A team like stoke should not be able to waltz through us the way they did. This needs to be rectified immediately. Nonetheless, we showed a lot of fight to come back and hopefully this will see us improve in the coming few matches and get consecutive victories.
