Manchester United vs Real Madrid (Thu 27th July, 01:30 UK time)

De Gea would get criticized for not getting off his line there.

Yup, but in fairness to Onana it is his first game for United. But we need to gird ourselves for a drop in quality in shotstopping in exchange for the “transformation” is our attack that he’ll deliver.

Bruno has been awful this second half. He's been giving the ball away for fun.

Honestly can’t fathom how a striker wasn’t our first purchase.

We’ll struggle to score goals this year unless we get one in.

People really blaming Onana?? That distance and the player making a shot with that angle nobody knows which corner its headed.

We did need both but the CF is a more important purchase than a GK ever was, Hojlund is going to be a huge gamble though, whether he's up to it we'll see but it's asking a lot of an inexperienced player to be the main scoring hope for the coming season
Ok. They are both very important. Both were by a distance top 2 priorities. We will address both. Why are people yelling at the sky?

Are you mad at the imaginary possibility of spunking our whole budget on Kane or Osimhen? Because I would much rather address midfield, GK and CF than just sign 1 CF who might not even be realistic at that price.

You’re still not over De Gea leaving are you. It’s okay mate, let the tears flow.

Madrid are very good. We weren't at our best partly due to how good they were and partly due to our inability to move the ball quickly. Decent game all round though, and highlights what issues we still currently have in the team.

Good run out, lots of things for the manager to see and work out. All in all, was just the type of pre season game we needed.

Most gutting of this is Maino didn't get to play.
I really hope his injury is not serious and he can play against Dortmund.

You really can't take it De Gea has left can you? 'Drop in quality of shotstopping' like the Spaniard was great in any case.

Very “zippy” match. There was some lovely one touch passing after about the 20 minutes mark in the first half. Second half was us more just trying to score.

Garnacho stood out. We should have scored. Onana ball was seen on two noticeable occasions, ironically with side passes.

That kit is just not a Man Utd kit. Looks too much like Juve or Newcastle.

TBH for Kane yes and Heaton would have done fine in goal but that's not what's happened so we'll just have to live with it
