To be fair he is only 20 years old, so not far off still being a literal child.Garnacho is like a child out there

Martinez - and most other defenders - need a midfield in front of them slowing down attacks, diverting angles away from goal, helping with overloads. In this game, Eriksen and Casemiro were stood with their hands on their hips watching 3 or 4 Newcastle shirts blaze past Martinez and Maguire and De Ligt. But the mistakes by the defenders — Martinez in particular — were what butchered us. It’s not as though Newcastle were blowing through our midfield and walking the ball into the net. They went wide, got the crosses in, and beat our CBs and our hapless keeper.
Sell him.Garnacho is like a child out there
We really should off load if the 60m rumored offer is thereGarnacho is the most useless player I have seen. Since he has come on I would love to see his stats. I am 100% sure he has not completed a single dribble. Even their Central midfielders have neutralized him let alone their full backs.
Fans not booing them? Wow.
Without any doubt that has to be a win.
Lose that and you really feel this is going to be an absolutely unthinkable relegation battle.
Fans not booing them? Wow.
Do worry that the circumstances are similar to the League Cup defeat in November last year.
We’d just been well beaten a few days earlier (against City), the mood was grim and there wasn’t really the appetite amongst the fans.
Newcastle were in form strolled to a 0-3 win.
Is there a striker we could realistically target in January? A proven one that can actually put the ball in the net
And a Dalot replacement
We desperately need training, so we throw the FA Cup so we can finish the season strongly and finish... 8th? I'd rather finish 15th with an FA Cup final to look forward to. Trophies are everything.Nope, the FA cup is pointless when you need training desperately.
Wait for the important thing, forget the result, we want the xG winPretty sure we could have been 4 down before any of those chances come our way.
I'd bet my house on us not winningWell probably do something daft like win against Liverpool. They used to beat us when they were crap and we were winning titles.
Sigh… we’re gonna treat him as a youngster until he’s around 28 like we did with Lingard and Rashford won’t we?To be fair he is only 20 years old, so not far off still being a literal child.
This.. it happens so often,You're being deceived. Newcastle wrapped the game up and then took the foot off the pedal knowing we'd not be able to hurt them. They're conserving energy for their next game whilst we flail about trying to score a single goal.
If they perceived us as a threat, they'd go up the gear they've not bothered with since the first half.
Might get shot of the Glazers.Imagine the scenes here if we get relegated.
I'd wait for them to at least have a towel around them firstMan, how does one pick a MOTM from that shower?
Maybe better. It is labelled as abuse these days as i hear.It was only 2:0, people can go happy home
I guess we should treat him as the age he is. He's clearly got talent but still has a lot to learn to use it properly, which doesn't feel particularly surprising for a 20 year old. Yeah we've been in that situation a lot of times recently it seems, but that's not unique to United.Sigh… we’re gonna treat him as a youngster until he’s around 28 like we did with Lingard and Rashford won’t we?
patheticGrow up and control your temper - do not be a "keyboard warrior".
Maybe better. It is labelled as abuse these days as i hear.
Why not? Some fans won’t be happy till we’re in Everton’s position with Big Sam in charge. For who? Do we just keep sacking manager after manager
Yep, there was a five minute patch in the second half where Newcastle went up a gear, and we couldn’t get the ball off them.I think the worst of it is that we are such a soft touch, it's a fair plan to execute. Why expend any more energy than you have to, especially in the middle of the harsh festive schedule?
Sure, but we have not seen any progress in a long time. He still looks like a player who will just run alot with no end product, and low football IQ. I hope I’m wrong but he should be put on the bench for a better player.I guess we should treat him as the age he is. The only thing wrong here is that you can not accept that I am not a fan of Amorim and that I do not see him as the right manager for us. You just can not accept that I see things different than you, and you reacted very immature because of my post.pathetic
Nothing to see, judging from that performance. There isn't a twig or berry to be seen among the lot of 'em. Probably more like Ken dolls.I'd wait for them to at least have a towel around them first
I do agree to be fair, and even though he's young he has a fair bit of experience, I just think it's a bit early to write him off completely.Sure, but we have not seen any progress in a long time. Lingard only turned 21 last week!Sigh… we’re gonna treat him as a youngster until he’s around 28 like we did with Lingard and Rashford won’t we?
Because those wingers were also expected to contribute against the ball on a constant basis. Who is going to do that for us apart from Amad? I don't like that Maz and Dalot are used like that but lets not act as if the other options are self-evidently better. Garnacho was way too long exposed to Rashfords mindset I guess, he doesn't have an idea of defensive play and Antony, well to be honest, I'd like him tobe given a shot but given that we would improve results already by not CONCEDING goals I kind of get Amorims approach with sacrificing attacking output. Issue is, doesn't work outThis is exactly right? So why does Amorim keep persisting with this?
@Raees flagged this in one of his Pythagoras in Boots videos. Amorim's wing backs are Sporting were wingers who auxiliary defenders.
So why is Amorim playing full backs in this position who are useless in getting forward?
We are effectively playing 5 at the back now and wondering why we have not scored in 3 games.
