Work rate is a basic requirement. He loses physical contests because he's lazy. He makes no space because he can barely move so he doesn't draw defenders away.

Look at Newcastle's 1st goal. The run of Gordon drew Maguire and created a huge gap for Almiron to run through.

The sad thing is that we have no hope. If there's hope then you can weather the storm but there isn't any. The club is completely rotten and only getting worse.

No manager or player can fix this and it'll continue for as long as the club is run by people who only care about money. Which will be the rest of my lifetime at least. It's killed my love for the game.

I don't think that's true. Recruitment needs to vastly improve, but there has to be someone out there capable of coaching some effective patterns into this team.

Pochettino might not be doing well in terms of results, but even Chelsea's mediocre players are running his plays.

They won't stay at those clubs forever. I don't think they would turn down United. I disagree with your hypothesis that they won't get criticised if/when they fail. Our fans expect the team to compete at all times. As does the media. When the inevitable happens and the problems start, everybody will go in on them.

If they fail at the start they won’t get too much criticism I think. Our fans will definitely turn on the players.
And even if they did get criticize, their reputation is safe, like for Chelsea’s managers, because we are a in shambles.

When owners have so little interest other than financial, how does anyone think the players will react, until the Glazers leave the club I don t think we will get any improvement.

I disagree. Dalot should be dropped, immediately. He saw elmiron and didn’t get behind him.

I’ll probably never forget when Dalot got absolutely destroyed in the European qualifiers against Iceland this summer. A close match that ended with Ronaldo scoring the winning goal in added time. He was up against Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson who plays for Leuven, a mid-table club in the Belgian first division. He ran around him like he wasn’t there. I remember thinking how far United have fallen with having this guy as an important first team player.

He’s gotta go.

He will be back as a manager soon enough in a small club as he was before. So no harm. Few months experience winning dozen millions in the process.

I have always said that good players dont become bad,but this lot have become worse. Maguire and rashford play well for England. Eriksen and Bruno have been stars for their respective countries. Why are they not doing it for Manchester United? It can only be down to the manager. He was great last season but he appears to have lost his way now. But who can take over if he goes? There's no-one about really. McKenna at Ipswich is doing well, but would MU be too much for him? The recruitment is dreadful. Amrabat is Championship level at best. antony - well, if he is worth £80 m, then I have lost any remnants of sanity. Mount is just non-existent and yet many people on here were praising him before he came. rashford has lost all his confidence after a stellar season last year > Why? Im just so despondent. I cannot see how they have regressed so much from last year.
