We’re a relic of a club, left behind by modern football. Our era ended in 2013.

just once I'd like to see a United manager working as hard as Pep does on the touchline... at least get fecking angry

Exactly this but one is the new shiney toy and the other is on his way out.

He's not done anything today but if you think their work rate is remotely similar then I don't know what you've been watching. Hojlund makes runs, he tries to make things happen. Martial just stands the entire game.

I know it's only the league cup, and we can blame tactics, line ups and injuries all we want.
But the absolute state of the effort being put in by Rashford, McT and AWB when pressing or trying to win the ball back after they've lost it.
The shameful lack of effort and desire from most of these players is astounding. Throwing yet another manager under ths bus to keep their cushy lifestyles going.

There's just so much wrong at the club, I can't see how changing the manager alone will resolve it. 90% of this squad need to be turfed out on their ear and all.
Just look at the other teams we play against and how much effort every player puts in. We’re shameless.

The worst is yet to come ..

    I agree with this.

We keep making the same mistakes, over and over. Coach after coach. Transfer window after transfer window.

To date we've been big enough and ugly enough to stay afloat despite the mistakes. Now we're reaping what's been sown. Its going to get bad.

The sad thing is that we have no hope. If there's hope then you can weather the storm but there isn't any. The club is completely rotten and only getting worse.

No manager or player can fix this and it'll continue for as long as the club is run by people who only care about money. Which will be the rest of my lifetime at least. It's killed my love for the game.

Martial lays off balls with one touch and what the next man does with it is not up to him. I don’t judge them off workrate.

This second half performance is entirely down to the players, both in lack of quality and lack of guile.
We’ve been positive, but poor in execution and undone on the break.

Def the least likeable Manchester united team I have ever personally seen

It's the sheer lack of intensity and effort that is the most irritating, at least fecking show some effort, at least try, sprint, tackle show something resembling a desire to help your team win.

Nothing, accept defeat after defeat and let the manager take the blame, he'll get the chop and it's rinse and repeat.

I'd love to see it. Just announce one day that every scout, coach, data analyst etc have been fired and basically the whole squad is up for sale.

So they can stay at Villa or Brighton forever and preserve their reputation eventually before it goes bad there too, in the hope Madrid, Bayern or Barca will call on day.

Emery already failed at Arsenal. He went back to Spain and came back in the Prem.
Do you really think he will turn down United ? No matter the state we are in. The money is too good and we are one of the biggest club in the world.

If they sh*t their pants at the idea of coming here, then, it’s better they don’t. But I don’t believe that.
They won't stay at those clubs forever. I don't think they would turn down United. I disagree with your hypothesis that they won't get criticised if/when they fail. Our fans expect the team to compete at all times. As does the media. When the inevitable happens and the problems start, everybody will go in on them.

Well of course it matters because if it's a systematic issue you're never going to get the results. Spoiler, it is, hence why we've done feck all in 10 years under multiple managers.

Getting the results is one thing. Having our asses handed to us game after game is something else. Of course we need change in structure but this is the job and we’re not moving forward. I’m having a hard time seeing us like this until ownership changes.

We have a strong squad, so we can make choices and today we have a strong team and we have to get to the next round," Ten Hag told MUTV

Abysmal viewing, I feel sorry for the fans at OT having to witness this first hand, whilst in the cold.
