That my friend, is exactly the reason why we should have bought in some back up players in January.
Chelsea wanted top 4, so got Higuain.
MUFC, wanted top 4, but decided to save money.

Bang on...and not just save money...make money.

Selling players, renewing crap players to save transfer fees.

We may end up paying the price now.

On the flip side, players like Rashford are where they are because we were forced to use him.

There are players like Gomes, Chong and Greenwood who could be amazing given the chances.

Where did I call your team rubbish? Nowhere. I do call my own team rubbish all the time.

As for your ban, that's not for me to decide, I'm merely a scout here and don't have banning powers. I'm sure someone will see this post and make their own mind up.

Not sure why you giving him time of your day.

Possibly yeah. Although I think I’d like to see us try and snatch a couple of goals early in the second half.

Yeah. I think if we go a bit aggressive in the first 5 or so and see if we can get anything but if not, start holding shape and go for counters/nothing risky

Injures forcing changes from Ole didn't stop people from saying we were tactically outclassed by PSG despite the score being 0-0 at the time of the injuries.

We were outclassed in that game, not today though. Actually think we were the better team last 10/15 mins of the half too.

stop being so dramatic, Ole fecked up bringing him of , thats the simple truth, if you want to read more in to it , feel free.
Not about being dramatic. I've been worried with his subs a couple of times already. He's a gambler, but sometimes I feel he should be more sensible.

This is like El Classico but with real injuries instead of faking injuries. Unwatchable.

How many fouls does Henderson need to make to get a yellow card btw? The ref is having a shocker today.

This! I logged on to write exactly the same. Seconds after Henderson clattered Rashford from behind (injuring him in the process with no card or word from ref), Herrera tapped someone to give a foul and the ref had a word with Herrera. Henderson will keep doing it all day long as well till ref shows him a yellow

dI had this me hope that Greenwood would be onthe bench today (I presumed Lingard wouldn't make it... how right i was)

Got to wonder how bad is Fred doing in training if he can’t get in ahead of McTominay, Pereira and an injured Lingard. In saying that McT and Pereira have been decent.

He shouldn't have brought on Lingard, but other than that there is really nothing Ole could do about this. It is horrifically bad luck.

I'm pessimistic going into this half and given Rashford has looked uncomfortable for much of the game I fear we won't finish this with 11 men, especially seeing as Liverpool are kicking him to pieces.

It's in midfield where we're proper fecked. We don't have the presence to win that battle, then it's a matter of time until they find a killer pass to one of the forward three.

Outside chance of nicking a chance or two on the counter attack, that's about as hopeful as we can get.

Hope we don't concede one from a set piece or we'll fold like a pack of cards as we did with PSG.

Liverpool haven't failed to score away from home in the league this season :nervous:

    Second-half kick-off

Rashford still on the pitch for the second-half. He didn't have a whole lot of choice really.
Because he's a key player for Ole still , he's local, this is a big game vs Liverpool and we don't have choices. A player being on the bench doesn't mean he's 100% fit
That's nice, but not really a valid set of reasons. This is a high intensity, aggressive game against our bitterest rivals. Lingard is always going to be playing in positions that demand a hell of a lot of work, movement and very likely result in him getting clattered multiple times.

Even if he came on late, the pre-requisites of this game in particular would be the same.

I expected him to be off the pace, not so fragile (unfit) that the first intense movement he made would break him. That's not match fit!

Can’t believe our fekin luck, first Matic and now Herrera. Don’t mind this game, this can be what decides the top 4 position.

How did it go from Martial being the one likely to feature and Lingard definitely not to Lingard being the one on the bench? Lingard obviously wanted to play badly.

    LAST MAN STANDING
    Last-man-standing.jpg

It was not a fecking mistake to sub on Lingard. The medical staff has deemed him ready to play as he's on the bench. The player himself must have done the same.

But that’s because we were completely nullified even with Lingard and Martial on. But today we have stifled Liverpool’s attack completely
Not going to discuss this too much here, but clearly not having to worry about the counter-attacking threat of Martial and Lingard is going to allow PSG to push on further forward with their full-backs, which is exactly what we saw. They didn't create much in the first half and totally did us in the second half. Replacing Martial and Lingard with Lukaku and Mata forced us to change the game plan that'd kept it at 0-0 for the first half. But whatever, he was totally out-tactic'd and the injuries had nothing to do with the fact that they had it easier in the second half.

Young has more passes to Liverpool than his own teammates

why has no one praised lukaku for the pass for lingard's chance. superb ball

Because he is terrible once again. He is immobile and that's the only thing he did well.
Well done Lukaku, it was a good pass.

If Klopp is serious about winning rather than not losing, he has to gamble and play Shaqiri or Lallana over Henderson or Wijnaldum. Probably just bring on Alexander-Arnold for Milner too.

They have to go for this game now and obviously, I expect them to win it. Hopefully, we can keep defending well enough and steal it on the counter.

Getting lingard in when he was injured only served in pissing sanchez off
