Why is Rashford getting booed?
I was wondering that.
Why is Rashford getting booed?
Is that Rashford getting booed in a fecking friendly in America?
Just hoping for no injuries.
He was solely responsible for their second goal what are you on aboutHorrible comment. Collyer is having very possibly his best game on this tour and is one of the standout players
If you're going to play high pressing high risk football you need to be
1. Good at keeping possession of the ball so you don't give the opposition endless chances to hit you in transition
2. Have a team of players who are physically and athletically capable of defending the transitions.
We are poor at keeping possession of the ball. And we have the oldest and slowest midfield and centre backs around.
It's a recipe for disaster.
Disaster isn’t the recipe I want from someone called Dominos. It's a recipe for disaster.
Not in preseason they aren't, I only care about our general play. Goals come in time.
Ah I'm not bothered about the defence really considering who's playing back there, none are main starters when everyone is either fit or present after the euros/Copa America, so it's not surprising this makeshift back line is conceding goals.Same old loopy match thread....
Anyway, we look decent at times, better than Vs arsenal.... but feck me have we lost that defensive stability from season 1. Hopefully when we sort out the defence it clicks.....
I agree. EtH doesnt seem to understand this - this formation is a bit suicidal and while friendlines can often make it seem like we are playing well, in a competitve game we will get destroyed. If you're going to play high pressing high risk football you need to be

Its the squad we have. However, if we get Ugarte in and De Ligt, Mazraoui then the squad will be much more suited to that style of football.
In fairness, not one of those defenders out there will start when there’s a full first team. Maybe 3 outfield players tonight will defo start in a starting 11.Same old loopy match thread....

We struggled to create chances before, which was not the case this half. Create chances, goals will come. This team has struggled for goals for a long time so don't be so sure.
His best game yet yes, but not the standout player. Rashford and Amass have been better.Horrible comment. Collyer is having very possibly his best game on this tour and is one of the standout players
It's preseason ffs... Goals from us would be nice but let's not pretend there's no positivesGoals are the most important thing in football though.
Meh, whenever we have a strong pre-season, its usually followed by a dumpster fire of a campaign. I'm trusting the omens
Yes I switched on at 25th min expecting to see them struggle after reading this thread, but they were some of our most active playersThey really are, against Liverpool nonetheless. Despite what some posters would make you believe, they are having a standout game
Shockingly to some, but they really are. Also, we didn't really outplay them. We've tried to play on the front foot, and have pressed nicely most of the time, which was very, very refreshing to watch. But we haven't been successful because our players are not quite good enough to execute that against Liverpool. Liverpool is beating us - factGoals are the most important thing in football though.
Ultimately, yes. But the way we're playing now will consistently generate more goals than how we were playing last season.Goals are the most important thing in football though.
AmenMeh, whenever we have a strong pre-season, its usually followed by a dumpster fire of a campaign. I'm trusting the omens
Well it's only because Martinez isn't present and Yoro isn't fit in fairness. That would be our starting backline unless de ligt is signed.Side note: the fact that we are still rolling out a Lindelof/Evans partnership in 2024 is criminal
Sadly it's all about the money and expanding our fan base, which is fine but it comes at certain cost.Next summer I hope we don't go overseasons and play rivals from PL. Stay home and play lower leagues. Pitches and rivalry is too much to get thru without injuries etc. Top4 is hard enough nevermind start off being handicapped by tours and injuries. Football decisions not money decisions.
Oh wait that other post wasn't meant as a joke from you?! Good god you don't half talk some bollocks on here.Erm... What about last pre-season?
