Manchester United vs Lens (Sat 5th August, 12:45 UK time)

Gorgeous pass from Antony.

Great ball by Antony. Happy to see Rashford finish it. He needed that

Thank God we scored, I was going to send some of you the number for the Samaritans

I don't care if it's a friendly, that's an obvious booking.

For sure.
Doesn't distract from Onana being too high, but yeah the poor ball retention is a major issue.
He is supposed to be as high and compact to the backline as possible, with the entire team pushing vertical a solid 10-15 yards because of that compactness and competency - when we are in possession of the ball and attacking, which we were.

Shuffling back or opting to be a sweeper keeper comes in defensive phases and/or retreat, which we weren't doing.

Bottomline is none of our defenders are supposed to turn over the ball and gift-wrap it for the opposition, and every time they do, there'll be clear lines to goal and very easy goalscoring opportunities. You remove these players; the system remains in place.

The mutv commentators are clueless. lens are apparently now “there for the taking”. Mate we’ve been sh-te

Dalot really doesn't want to be in the starting XI in the upcoming matches.

As soon as I saw Dalot winding up to volley it as it descended from the troposphere, I knew it’d be a shit shot.

Some of these decisions man.

That's an absolutely outstanding goal, just fantastic.
