Manchester United vs Lens (Sat 5th August, 12:45 UK time)

People blaming Delot for the goal  . He’s literally halfway up the fecking pitch.
Must have imagined him giving the ball away causing us to be out of position and shape.

Going into the new season with either Dalot or AWB as starting RBs, is akin to choosing which poison to swallow down. Either poison with its own potential to kill us alive.

This transition style that Ten Hag wants us to be stronger at means the games will be more like basketball matches....which im not sure is the best way to go

That’s why it’s vital we sign Amrabat, he offers us far more solidity in midfield when paired with Casemiro.

I agree with this. He will end up being our best summer signing I reckon. Without someone like that we don't control games

I'm gonna say it ..........De Gea wouldn't have let that goal in.... :nervous:

Not the first time in pre season which does not bode well for the season ahead.
Stupid to give the ball away but suicide from the goalkeeper to be that high up.

Dalot just 100% guaranteed lost his starting position on the right back, for the foreseeable future.

Also, if Rashford doesn't get to his form in the first half of last season, Garnacho will take over his left winger spot

Mainoo injury is actually a huge dagger. Midfield missing a buildup player (duh, we all knew this) and Mason Mount does nothing to compensate (we all knew this too)

That was a great chip. Would catch a lot of GK out .. Lets not read too much in that

People blaming Onana for that goal is like when they play with no forwards and moan when there's nobody there to finish chances.

Maybe rashford should've done 10 days of pre pre-season camp rather than 8, looks well off the pace.

People before Onana: 'Our keeper never comes off his line'. People after Onana: 'Our keeper shouldn't come off his line'. Caf special

Would be nice to see our fullbacks supporting the attack every now and then. No overlaps, no runs into the box, no crosses, nothing.

Yes, because he becomes part of the outfield line in that situation. He needs to be close to the back four.

Blame is entirely with Dalot who is doing his best to play himself onto the bench for the first league game.
No he doesn’t. If we needed to pass backwards an extra five yards makes no difference. It’s mostly Dalot but you have to position yourself better as a keeper.

we’ll see. We will lose the ball like that in most games and if the keepers well off his line why aren't the opposition going to shoot

It's a brilliant finish on top of the mistake. 99/100 they drift aimlessly wide or are lofted high enough for the GK to save.

If you want to have a sweeper keeper then the outfield players need to keep the ball, that’s not his fault

On both TBH. Standing so far way from the goal while the team is being pressed is a risky goalkeeping always.

He's expected to play like that - as he becomes a passing outlet. That's the whole point.

It was a simple 10 yard pass. That's not on the keeper
